Welcome to the Wild Card Podcast. I'm your host, Jay Christiansen, and my co-pilots on this journey to wherever are my good friends Emily Kohler. Hello! And the man who puts the new Ron Ron into the do Ron Ron, the Reaper M.
Jones, Dafel Ganger, Extruder, and Air, Drake Gillespie. It's true. That's said, Ron. You know, we always like to start off our podcast by letting our listeners learn more about us.
So today's favorite question is, who is your favorite professional wrestler? Oh, I really like the new days between the two guys. Hey, how did you guys get into my house? The door was open.
And so I can't answer you. I want you to leave here. I want Jack Hill. And why is Jared tied up?
Oh, Jared, he let us in. He let us in. And then he... He asked for a podcast.
That's exactly what happened. No, he said they're hijacking our podcast. Which do I shoot? Why are you on your podcast?
No, no, no, no. We're doing our own podcast. About professional wrestling. Not cool, Emily.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Now, look, I'm the new host, the better host. You know what happened to the last guy who tried to place me as host? Rainbow, then kids.
Hey, I wrote that. I'm the new Ron, bitch. Nobody replaces me twice. Welcome to the Wild Card podcast.
I'm your host, Jaredie. And my co-pilots on this journey to wherever are my good friends, Jeff Curtis. Hello. And a glutton for punishment and cheeseburgers, Ron Blair.
Hi, I'm Jeff Cheeseburgers. I was just telling the kids how much I love cheeseburgers. That name of Ron Blair comes courtesy of official decade, Jake Richards. Thank you, Jay.
That was a suggestion he gave. If you guys ever have suggestions for favorite topics, names of Ron, commercial ideas, topics we would love to hear them. And don't be too many. Because this podcast is all about you.
Now Ron, tell them what this podcast is all about. This podcast is about only now realizing after having known Jared for three or four years that he looks exactly like Vincent Van Gogh. Okay. All right.
All right. Look at him. I look at the man. I look like every person who's ever lived.
I have the most ambiguous average appearance of all time. I was looking at your profile earlier today and I went, holy shit. That's Van Gogh. He's just not missing an ear.
Yeah. Time to remind us. Sent to madness. Yeah.
But there were times in college where like every other week of somebody else. Like, and every time I'd be in a restaurant, people just thought they knew me. Yeah. Or once people get to know me, they're like, you remind me this person like this old person they've known is like, I'm just the default position on man time.
Maybe that's it. Maybe you're the every man. You're the Jimmy Stewart Tom Hanks. Everybody thinks that Jeff looks like me except for people who know us.
Yeah. And even sometimes they get a little confused. Sometimes then Tim. I didn't realize I was right.
Wait, there are two of you in this room right now? Yeah, I'm afraid so. Okay. So that's what the podcast is all about.
Right. But one of the things podcast is regularly about is just us. It's just us and the thing we love to talk about. And one of the things we love to talk about movies.
Yeah, I love movies. Another thing we love to talk about is ourselves. Or me. Or me.
I love talking about me. So here's what I thought for this week, our favorite. I want you to think of some of your favorite movies. And I want you to recast characters as us.
Like put us in those movies. So for example, have you guys seen V for Vendetta? Yes. Okay.
One of my favorite movies of all time. Jeff, I took you as the main character actually. The main character is a V. You've never seen him because he's wearing a mask and it's completely covered the entire time.
He's voice by Hugo leaving. I replaced Hugo leaving with you. Cool. Go on.
I struggled with you. I took positions and I let you pick before you prefer. First I put you as John Hurt who is Chancellor of the film. Oh, that's a good one.
I also thought though, this is small character but I think you'd be great at it. Steven Fry's character. He works for the company that is a broadcaster. He's kind of like a Jay Leno talk show.
He's kind of a British talk show. He kind of does a rebellion against other by airing that. So that makes fun of him. And it's a skill for it.
Oh, I like that. I know he's. He kind of like is open rebellion that most people would be comfortable doing. I thought you would hand him with a humor but also the balls he has to go far.
No, that's good. Those are two great characters. And she's kind of the main detective who's trying to catch me but also starting to doubt the government and what they're all about. Wow.
That's a good one. I had three. I have three. I have three.
I'm going to go to the rotation here. My first one because I watched this movie over the week. I showed it to Caleb as he had never seen it and I was like this will change your fucking life. Just watch to the end.
Don't ask questions. The usual suspects. I would recast Jared as Dean Keaton, the Gabriel Burton character, the one who's going straight. And then Jeff as a fencer, Benicio and I'll talk to you later.
Great. Because I thought of me as a fencer but I would be better as Todd Hotney, the Kevin Pollock Smartass character. Yeah, that would be very mean right there. And I think Jeff would be funny as hell.
I was great to see you and start getting to take on a more keyboard. That was great. That was fun. That was a fun role to do.
My first movie is the Big Lebowski. I've actually never seen that all with her. I've never seen that all with her. I guess myself as the dude.
I guess Ron is Walter. That's very fair. Who's that? That's a John Goodman.
And I cast Jared as the Steve Buschimi. Shut the fuck up, Donny. That's fair. I could play on the show.
Next up for me is Jurassic Park. Excellent. I'm T-Rex. I'm T-Rex.
This is the time I had our time with you. My initial thought, John Hammond. He's not holding him. That was the other one.
That's what I would do. It's just what I would do. It's almost like the quick from Joll is kind of thing. Just like you don't mess with his Vlasric.
It's really quick. He's a book. I'm going to say it in the middle of all three. In the book he's a much better character.
I put Ron, I put you of course. Dennis Niggory. I thought about it. We talked about it before.
I knew it made you uncomfortable. It is. It's not what you see in Malcolm. Oh, that's perfect.
That's perfect. He knows what's going on and no one else realizes he's going on. He's kind of shitty about it. He's like, I just stopped.
I love him. I love him. I love him. Of course you did.
That's how I'm great. He has no character profile. He's just a vain guy. We've done my next one before, but just as a reminder, I'm doing Jaws.
Of course. With Jared as Hooper. The young guy. Jeff as Brophy.
And me as Quint. I think it's fair. I did Star Wars. I thought about it.
With Jared as Luke. Me as Han Solo. And Jeff as Chewbacca. If I had guessed myself, I would have thought Argy D2.
But I like Luke better. I'm not because of the New Star Wars movies. But I really did like Luke in the New One. He's dark turned a little bit.
I come back at the end. Who do you think I would cast you as in Finding Vincent? I'm like, wait a second. Wait a second.
Wait a second. Okay. That's cool. Alright.
My second movie is Sweeney Todd. Oh, okay. Jared would be Sweeney. Wow.
What an honor. Ron would be Adelitho Pirelli. Of course. I've heard that before.
That's not the role that I want. I would be Judge Perf He's not just a dick. He feels like he's doing this for the right reasons. The last one I chose because I step with my favorite films.
I'm thinking my favorite movies. I went with Psycho. That's my last one. You've already told me that you think I'm from that one.
Well, was it Sam Loomis? Well, you cast me as Norma Bates in one of your things. And you literally once I get set I have Norman Bates things. You do.
But I cast me as Norma. Okay. Cause that's the move I'm in today. Jared and Sam Loomis.
Okay. And then Jeff as Arvegas, the detective that's searching for a Merrion Crane. Okay. And those were my choices.
Okay. Okay. First I'll tell you the movie I was going to make my third but then I couldn't think of three characters. I'll give my fourth as well.
I was gonna do the long good Friday and Ron was going to be the Bob Hoskins character who's the head of this British mafia trying to Trying to make inroads with Americans So I went to the good the bad and the ugly, okay, which I've also never seen but I should you know the song But I want to know the song very well, so it would be the clannies with character Blondie great. Yeah, Ron would be the Eli Wallace character to co okay, I'll take it and I would be the lead man clean character angel eyes Which one's the bad guy so Jared's the good yes, you're the ugly you're the bad and I'm the bad guy Well, no, we're all bad guys. Oh You know we're all the bad that's true so I find one wasn't a movie as it much as a franchise I'm gonna be a dangerous franchise. Okay, and I put Jeff as Nick Fury.
Yeah, yeah, I feel like the organization I put Ron as Tony Stark Wow I think you are very I want to do a plug on behalf of my brother-in-law and my sister-in-law They're trying to fill up the cast for Nightmare Force this year My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are great people to work for I think I've mentioned them in the haunted house podcast Yeah, they're now doing the Nightmare Force. They're really great people there. They need actors. They need talented people I'm not sure how much it pays but it pays each night.
Yeah, and you show up there like an hour before it gets dark Everyone I know who does these things to bless. It's a lot of it's grueling it's grueling it's tough But it's fun as hell so look up Nightmare Force on Facebook and get with those people if you're interested in it and getting a little money A lot of people use it for Christmas money. Yeah, they'll just save out there back in my day It was 35 night. I don't know if it's still that or if it's 50 or whatever But you get a little money and you save it up Yes by Christmas with it and you just have a good time for the Halloween season So they're gonna be doing that on September 15th at 5 p.m.
At Nightmare Forest But for more information go to their Facebook page hit him up message him and just let him know you you want to come out It's a lot of fun a lot of fun. We're at a Jeff's So and nobody does it better Curtis all right you're giving away the theme, but okay, I would love to know at this moment just about 12 minutes in the podcast who from Ron's reference knows this is about you probably really show description you probably know this is about Yeah, yeah, exactly all right, so unlike usual I actually get I actually told Ron and Jared what we are going to be talking about Before they came in so that they could be prepared coming in because otherwise it would be a whole lot No one else knows it was for our eyes only right for our eyes right? That's right. It was just one of those things where sometimes on the show we need preparation Yes on once in a blue moon and we will prepare each other and say this is what I'm doing We just face on the show.
Yeah, we've done this before right so this is your preparation age episode Yes, absolutely so today we're going to be ranking the James Bond double seven movies from worst to best and you're going to we're going to leave You with the definitive wild card ranking of James Bond movies the official the last right authority on James Bond and now the criteria the criteria that I gave Ron and Jared even though who knows that what about follow this criteria criteria was actor song Story villain bond girl and whatever else you want to include So I took some of that into consideration I mean I kind of I was easy I did my top for you and in my bottom for you and then kind of fill up little slowly thinking about some of the Things I don't know if I can say everything you wanted, but I do have my ranking you have your ranking and Ron I haven't seen a James Bond film in about five years. I saw the first 15 minutes of octopus II like a month ago I've seen clips from Diamonds are forever just when it's on TV I've seen I've not seen any of the Daniel Craig except for casino royale I missed die another day with Pierce Brosnan and I haven't seen you But I've seen all all the rest of them like 15 years ago like 10 15 years ago So I don't remember enough that I feel like I can make my own list, but I can certainly Arbitrate here. Yeah I'm a suggestion when Jeff said we're doing is that how we do our ranking my suggestion was since we're going from bottom to top We I'll say my 24th Jeff will say his 24th. Yeah, and we'll have two movies there or we'll have one of you twice We will only discuss a movie once he and I've both ranked it Yeah, right and then from our rankings will compile average You know whatever my 24th is whatever his will average them together We'll get a number and then from those numbers about the order right figure out we'll have a weighted system of ranking here This is scientific.
We're not just willy-nilly Here, so you would like me to go first. Well, first let me just give an intro to the whole bond series. Yeah, okay There were actually 26 movies Called James with James Bond I'm going to roll out with last night. Okay, Peter Sellers Peter Sellers and Woody I mean it had um Yeah, I'm Woody Allen It was a Blake Edward that was a comedy and and that movie is not part of what we're going to be ranking because it's so out of it's It's not official is not connected to anything else that happens and it's a totally different.
Um, it's a comedy I want to hear that he's also unofficial. Are you ever seen ever seen? Right, and it had John Henry in it and it was Kind of copy storyline. It was not united artist though It was not what makes it when it comes to story from thunderball because the person who wrote the original Thunderbolt actually owned the rights to that and then then the Broccoli did their own thunderball.
Right. All right, so let me just let me just give you an intro to the James Bond stuff And then we'll get into our ranking so James Bond the character was created by Ian Fleming and the first book came out in 1953 Which was because he's a royale. Yeah, and it's it's nobody has ever looked into that story It's awesome. Now how Ian Fleming came through that.
Right and so he was a um, he worked during World War II It with naval intelligence British naval intelligence and he based James Bond on a composite of a lot of people he worked for Now he wrote a total of 12 novels and two books of short stories about James Bond Um all the novels and some of the short stories have been made into movies. Right. Okay in 1961 Albert our broccoli and harry Salzman purchased the film rights to all the novels except for casino royale Which had already been purchased the reason that what's different was they did a TV movie of it in the 50s It was purchased and so the people who owned it from that then made their other movie the casino royale movie that we're just talking about Um after James Bond started becoming this big thing. What year was that casino royale?
Okay, so jing-bond was well established by that point before they did a parody of it. Yes, okay, okay, so um All right, and then the I guess that's all I was going to say that so there's a total of 26 movies We're gonna be talking about 25 of them, but there's only 24 official movies So if you don't count David and Evan there have been six official blonde so never again is counted in this In our ranking in our ranking in our ranking in our ranking but it's not an official bond movie It wasn't made by eon right eon. That's it. Yeah, there's a movie inflection right now is bond 25 That's what it's called.
It's a time like I get it according to the 26 But it's one of not because never said ever again is not right. It's not exactly counted All right, so my 25th worst one movie in my opinion is died other day. Okay, my 25th is moon raker And that's a lot of people's 25th I've not seen that one, but I've heard a lot of people don't like that one and die another dance surprising because jonathan prices are you kidding me? You can't talk about it.
I'm gonna get guys. Damn it. Okay. How are we writing these down for our scoring?
I've got I've got mine and I'll put your numbers next to them. Okay, so we'll have them together. All right, okay My 24th is never say never again. Okay, my 24th was Octopus II what okay?
We can't talk about that one. Yeah, that's my first name Now you're gonna talk let's talk moon raker. That's my 23 all right my 23 Okay, because now that's been mentioned you both got the right on it. It's definitely in your bottom three Yeah, it's right.
It's right at 24. Okay, and even years ago when I was like which ones should I watch people go not moon raker Don't watch moon raker. No, you got you can't say with any confidence or any straight face at all that Roger Moore's James Bond movies are serious No, not at all starting with live live and die. It's not serious.
It's funny complete complete Goes over the line with my jaws getting married falling in love right which is bullshit now Jaws is a great villain But yeah, there's some there's some absurdity in there he fights and add a condom. Yeah Space laser battles. What is the staple James Bond movies very very slow large fights? Yeah, there's super slow But it's the late 70s where things were getting real good So you have all these space shuttles that are in space You have the you have the villain space shuttles where they're getting and the space station that was somehow made in secret Villain is creating this master race of people that are gonna be propagated Because you know the guys that'll only kill humans and leave the rest of the earth.
Yeah After Star Wars, so if you want to capitalize box office, that's how you do it. There's actually a Fleming book on moon raker I haven't read it. I don't know if it's the same story or not. Yeah We're just using titles or slight variations now we do we're not talking about the song moon raker is a surely basket No, I actually like the song.
She's very well known for doing three of the 26th gen Bond songs Yeah, one of them is my favorite and you don't like it, but we'll get to that. I'm not a huge really nasty fan So there's just nothing about this movie the only reason I forgot never say never again But even once I remember never say never again. I still couldn't put it up down the day Like so something we've moved up to 20 years watch it because it's not those two right? That's why it's so low for me.
Okay. All right now. You're 23rd. Okay, my number 20 third is never say never again Okay, so let's talk every day never again You know what I thought I was like oh I can't wait because I bet it's just as good and Sean Connery and boy It was boring well Sean Connery is actually got a funny in the movie.
Yeah, I enjoy it But the movie itself really is awful. He's always good But the movies are not always great and it was released at the same time as octoposis so you've had these two competing James Bond movies out there and It's because it's not made by Ian. It can't start out with the same kind of credit So it even starts out different notice down to it Yeah, and it's just it's just awful. Yeah The thing is again, it's thunderbolt which we'll talk about a little bit, which is also not one of my personal favorites Yeah, but I think if you own a Vulpe I think is the character name I mean there's a female rival of all and it's not bad in it.
Yeah, but the plot is just so stupid I love thunderbolt. Oh, we'll get to that later. I don't watch it ever say ever again I don't know it. Yeah, I don't know much about this.
Well, you won't get with the Eon collection of you know The criteria thing. Yeah, so it's time for my 20 second. Yep 22 the man with the golden gun I thought you enjoyed that one. I enjoy all of these.
They're all James Bond. Okay, fair enough Okay, number 22 of you two of you and I've heard that one's awful despite Christopher walking and Grace Jones both Yeah, they're great actors up. Yeah, we're not talking about it yet. My number 21.
I know it's gonna be all for this one Just cuz this is gonna blow people's minds. Yeah, we're 21 gold finger. Okay. Wow.
That's where it was kind of boring I mean the doctor know it's a one that is thought of as the definitive James Bond. Yeah Yeah, 21 died another day I wish I'd seen this one. No, it looks like I Like I like Pierce Brosnan as he's one of my favorite very well because by the time they got to Pierce Brosnan is like they're running out of ideas and they were going for these big budget CGI action movies without the stories to support it and how he was written as his American equal Yeah, jinx was like he looks lighter but one but no she didn't she was just an agent like he was okay Where's the little more authority because he's kind of like the lead of got you. Yeah, but she just it's not even I'm playing the actress.
I don't like my very for this. She did what she could but the director just didn't give her much direction She's boring. She's bland. There's some fun set pieces.
There's a guy who we in the James Bond. They were called Diamond Face There's a villain who has diamonds in his face Wow, and there's there's a There's this really is the opening scene in North Korea with hover cars. It's not bad, but it appears browsing. It's a giant beard in the movie Is this the one where he spends a year in in captivity?
Oh, I've seen the beginning of it's not Korea's beginning of exchange back in United States, but There is Miranda Frost is a character in this and I forget who the actresses who play her She doesn't a pretty good job. You have that front of you. I have it in my stuff Somebody's buying the deal does him come in business. Yes, and she's like I can get to a moment But she's a Rosin Pike Rosin Pike plays right the frost Toby Stevens is the bad guy who stuff graves He's like a mega-limaniac he creates Icarus this laser the harness is the power of Sun and Diamonds She's a giant laser at the earth and he's doing it so that his media company will like that's not what it does Oh Another day It was so bad The one that had the longest gap was between Daniel not that okay between who was before Pierce Because there was a there was a there was a suit they were being sued for some reason and so there was a six year gap between License to kill was 1989 and GoldenEye which was 1995 and Timothy Galton's contract to do six movies six Mabong movies ran out during that time and so he decided not to do anymore do you think they were running it out?
Were they no they were sued by I don't know what the suit was about though. Yeah, so that was your 21st Was my 20 is for your eyes only for your eyes only My 20 was the world is not enough. Okay, really my 19 is the world is not enough I love that one The ones not There's one fatal flaw in this movie what's that the blonde girl oh Christmas Jones played by That's that Richard's She was a golden eye. Okay Yeah, I did me search for so bad again.
I'm on the record because you know unless she's just the worst actress all time You should know work, you know make her better, but it is That's the one with the tank battle though Remember anything There's a woman who we think is gonna be the long girl yeah in the beginning and her dad dies He's an oil tycoon she's trying to make it take it over make things better There's an avalanche suit one of the worst one guys the whole time yeah This is the point where they designed bond gadgets solely for the one thing they were getting before that episode right and it's just And she's a cotton avalanche she's terrified she was getting up as a kid turns out she is the bad guy. Yeah, she was really good Yeah, I enjoy that The other villain I forget about forget his name he has this brain damage where he had a bullet in his head Oh, yeah, all his pain. Yeah, that's right And he is like the final boss essentially that long as to fight in the submarine nuclear reactor is gonna go off crazy stuff's happening But if I'm not mistaken that guy's kind of whining bitchy throughout he's like emo He's like he can't feel he's like he holds the leg wrapped his hand and yeah, I can't feel pain She rubs ice on him and she like he can't even get around yeah Yeah, yeah, well, I don't think you should get a job to get a job to get a job Because again, you're playing so we can't feel right but until when she when she's killed by bond Then he kind of goes in like bizarre commode the other villain. Yeah, so I don't hate the movie It would be higher because I like a lot about it except for any search is so atrocious.
Yeah, she's bad in that All right, so you have anything to add to that Jeff about the awfulness of it. I just didn't like it. Yeah Yeah, I haven't seen a lot of these movies in a while like Remember how I feel about them I don't remember anything about thunderball. I just remember I liked it, you know, they're just something I really enjoyed All right, that was mine number 19 that was your number 19.
I'm doing my number 19 now Tomorrow never dies. We're gonna put Jonathan Price. Yep. Yep.
We've got a little bit. Oh, wait I thought I didn't say that one. You didn't say tomorrow never dies. Oh, I'll get a little ways for you I got a number 18.
It's not a ball. All right. My number 18 is for your eyes only And that's all I remember it's a great song and I love that song and a crappy movie and it's a three Two and one It's for 1981. It was it was I went to England at this time It's also around the time of the royal wedding and stuff like that And I remember seeing all the signs for the movie in London I didn't say the much more and the song was popular and when I finally got to see the movie I said oh, this is really bad.
What is it about? I don't even remember I don't remember I don't remember a little bit of this woman whose parents are killed in Greece and she's on a quest for revenge But I remember what she's doing better than what Bob's doing because I don't even remember the villain Like I just I remember that the scene where like the image on the poster is a bomb in like a pool And you see these women's legs going up it like yeah, that's It's so forgettable in my opinion your eyes only the villain was Aristotle Christos does play by Julian Glover He wants to retrieve that attack missile command system from the Soviet Union and trick bombs Bob joined forces with Milos Colombo irritating Chris This was the one that had I think the guy from I should go here to get a favor. Oh, oh, oh, yeah, I think tople was in this one No, this is a bell. I think he played bonfire.
I'm gonna look it up real fast while Jeff has nothing else to say because we have nothing to say That's really telling isn't it you have a girl okay played the bond girl I'm willing to have a lock and tople played me list Colombo the bond the bond friends very cool That's a tople would be a good bond friend. Yeah, I faintly remember tople in this just an image of him in the movie It's probably I'm just imagining it and don't actually remember anything Well, if you've seen the movie once you and I see it more than you need to right See there's the difference between someone moon raker, which is stupid and goofy and awful You remember it I don't like I don't like me raker and it's a lower on my thing than this right? But I want me raker again. Yeah, don't give me something.
I don't care about I put it a little lower online because I don't remember hating it Right, but I like the song yeah, it shows a movie up there on my list It's a great bond song and so the buns aren't but that's a great Yeah, not all of our all right, so that was 18 you're number 18. I said my rating Number 17 is specter my number 17 is licensed to kill I don't understand your you know I don't get most people would have put it lower than Jeff did yeah, like honestly Jeff get a more People right in the most way I just really like yeah, so that was your number 17 my number 16 is on her Majesty Secret Service Oh, I didn't say that's the George Lee's and me. I never saw that one. I never 16 is a man with the golden gun man with a golden gun The things that I don't lulu lulu lulu I love her though I love Chris really love Chris for Lee is great in it and I enjoy saying the word.
It's got a mondah. It's the best It's the best name of a bond villain ever get a mondah. Nick. Nick.
Nick. Nick. Okay. Let's get a mondah Let's get a mondah.
It's a line with your screams Nick. Nick. No Isn't it Nick Nick little hurting like this? Yeah In the cabin of a boat and he comes out with a knife and his teeth and bond I'm about to close my eyes about the grows nest that was the funniest thing So what was your rating for the man with the golden one to one two and this one suffered for kind of the same reason that The world's not suffered.
I just find the bond girl atrocious I thought I thought man with the golden gun was a little sloppier. I like so I love the when he gets to the island with Chris really I think that's great. There are most of what happens before that is really boring to me. It seems very simple It's an oversimplification of a bond what where it's like this guy's trying to kill you.
Okay, okay Very good night. She's now I don't know but she she dies early on before she was an octopus like she I have a couple times where the same actually different characters and movies she plays like a female helper of his guys I think in a sort of sumo match threat or boxing action like that But Chris really was great in this as just an assassin who you are To kill with one shot he built it in his own bullets made the island is a beautiful sight I'm gonna go feel like the horror house the fun house. Oh, yeah doing that. I don't hate the movie I just really dislike red I'm not what I want to watch even though I like some performances But does have a fun song yeah, I like this one.
Okay, so that was your number 16. Yep mind number 15 It's time to talk view to a kill. All right Not as much as I like the next one by aha, but I like the grandpa Before I was before that one no hockey nectar. Yeah, I was a bit all one.
Oh, you're right Yeah, so they're both bad I like that And it's freaking terrible Yeah, Roger Moore's getting really old it's kind of creepy Yeah, he was aging out of that. Yeah, he was aging out of the I full tower On the Golden Gate Bridge the weirdest yeah, the weirdest Assassin Grace Jones is a bodyguard of she assassinates a guy using butterflies. Yes on like a fishing pole It's like a razor sharp butterfly and there's this butterfly performance show go nuts really strange People are like eating at these tables like a nice like restaurant Yeah, there's a some of these weird butterfly dances and great shows up at balcony She gets a big ball and she like razors a guy in the neck with a butterfly to run it's That wouldn't even work really no reason Tonya Roberts is a bar girl in this oh she was doing okay for a while She was fine. Yeah, I just I like some others weird horse bit where that was terrible I've seen that it was like horse adrenaline steroids.
Yeah, we're great Jones comes from Upward here in the space Jones Roger Moore bed scene I forget how long your Roberts wasn't this the shame of it was though a fight it on a Zeppelin at the end of it That's a cool set piece. I think that was pretty neat I think Grace was like 20 something when she was Most of my girls are like in their 20 Talk about how old Roger Moore was exactly well James Bond supposed to be somewhere between 35 and 45 Always always for the history. Yeah, and so so I think part of my problem with well I know that part of my problem with you to kill was that James Bond is just too old to be bonded Yeah, he's just you're not buying it. I'm not buying it Yeah, but several of his last movies I felt that way about that we were on the talk about it You know the Durandurand song yeah, I think it's one of the better Durandurand song I agree with that I don't really like Durandurand I think they were a mediocre band that got big because they had videos when MTV started that was over And they were handsome and and telegenic and so people loved them because they saw them on MTV all of them But their songs for the most part stuff.
And so even hungry like the wolf if you listen to it, you know Oh, I was wrong about this. This is awful. So so their song beauty will kill. It's okay It's better than some of the bonds on but it's not up there for me I don't think their song Wild Boys ever got to do But it should have bought boys Why oh boy?
Very catchy. It's okay. Oh, you're like well sucks. That is the shittiest song I like that probably only got my rock band.
I was like rock band. Probably and that might be why I hate it because I got tired of singing it I was like I'm not doing this again. I'm not singing a hungry like the wolf again So that was mine over 15. Jeff.
What is your number 15? My number 15 is Golden Eye Okay, I like I don't want a lot of talk about it. Are we? Yeah, let's talk.
Let's talk my number 14 It's time to talk tomorrow never dies. All right, it was in that one wrong Jonathan Price is the bad guy Yes, and he's great medium-grade It's an odd plot. He's trying to make Britain and China go to all that's right I'm manipulating GPS's so there's like these crossovers He's kidnapping submarines from each of them with his media money, right and making them like a war so he can broadcast it And I'm going off the wall. Yeah, that's what I understood it was.
He's the only reason he's trying to do it is so that he can cover the story Yeah, that's it. I like the song Cheryl Crowe tomorrow ever dies. It's not one of those popular ones But I don't think it really works as a bond song There's some I was yesterday I was listening to all the bond songs and there's some voices that just don't have the same gravitas I need for the bond song and I like I like Cheryl Crowe It's more of a crooner-y kind of song something older one but not so much though at its time when they write powerful I like Terry Hatcher plays a small role in it. Oh, she's gonna explain about and Michelle.
Yeah, I think you're thinking We show you is the bond girl who's like his equal from the Chinese government Ricky J as a moment in it The car the magician no shit. Have you ever seen his no, but holy crap, you know, you know magic's fake But he's one of where you go. He's skilled he's skilled in every way possible Ricky J was amazing He's passed away now. There's a bond like the henchmen the other ones that he's one of stumber Stop for a break.
He's sort of like I think he's German or something like that. He's just like pure man Right, yeah, he's he he harkens back to read grant from from us with love Robert Shaw. Yeah, yeah I like to wonder about this one that I will watch it's very watchable. It's very dumb But it's one I can't get so there's a lot of on was like that they're really stupid, but you get swept Again, I like peers.
I like the peers bras and bond I just it's like they ran out of good stories and they're just which is a shame because here's where I was great for that He was he was and you know He's the most connery of the other bonds. Yeah, but he's smoother and swabber and he's kind of the perfect person to cast in that role It's but I don't really suppose to take over a window I know but you can't get out of moonlighting not Yeah, which which the producers of that produced moonlighting. Yeah, dude. We're going to go on Okay, so that was my number 14.
Okay, my number 14 is the living daylights. Okay Yeah, I've seen clips of that. I couldn't watch it. I could not continue to watch Mine over 13.
I'm really hoping we agree on one of them I'll be the same number on something because we have a great we got the Sun is kind of close mine over 13 is diamonds are forever Oh, mine is under both. Well, it's not a ball. I like that was my number 18 That was my number 18. I don't have the slowest fight team all time.
I'm so slow It's also I want to be able to breathe. I'm walking isn't under ball the one where they also have this debugging scene or I think you know never movie I don't think I'm like they're fighting on Bob's letters I know there's a lot of skiing things that happen. I know Thing yeah, there's a lot of those I don't think that was thunderball. I think that was true lies with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
No, I remember explosions in the snow, but but true lies was good Yeah, I like the villain in thunderbolt. I think he's really good I forget the actor worked it up. I think Donald was one of those beautiful bongos all time The it was Amelia Largo played by adultos Sally was in thunderball and there's also Ernest Little by Anthony Dawson, but voiced by Eric Pullman. That was a lot of those first appearance one hit in the bond films No from Russia with lovely little fells first appearance.
Yeah, I think Largo's great. I think I'm a gorgeous I find almost everything about this movie horribly boring. I like it's one of my it's up there for me I don't know you're in you're in like a halfway Well, it was for him for me. It was not for me was 18.
So it was in the bottom half and we're gonna be on 14 14 Yeah, that was your 13. I thought but it was whatever number. Yeah, 14 was living down to 13 is under ball. Yeah.
Yeah, it's like halfway Right under ball would have been in my top five really. Yeah, but it's I picked some I'm not top five that you would put it bottom. Yeah, what you enjoy is different for everybody It would have been run from now. I will say this thunderball has if you want to go with cue gadgets one of the greatest Cute guys all time.
What was it? I think it was called little Melly. It was a jet pack. Oh the jet pack the opening scene He's getting away.
I don't know if you people some vehicles you know cue gadgets What I'm gonna call it with another it's got a pretty cool one and that's his fourth movie right under ball Yeah, number four. Yeah. Yeah, so all right thunderball. We're going next up.
I'm from me number 12. It's by who love me Which is another one of my favorite songs. Yeah, that's my top number 12 for me is diamonds are forever really close to me. We were only one ranking That's my favorite song you have to give it is great though diamonds are forever for having an openly gay villain couple Yeah, and that one and that was that was back in there.
Yeah, despite them being villains. They were gay people being shown on They made them incredibly awkward. Yeah, they made them so unpleasant, but not flamboyant No, that's a common thing in a lot of early days long is was people who are weird are homosexual like there are a lot Of those undertones for like lesbians and I mean I think this is the first time you see an openly male gay group You have something that you're kind of suspicious of earlier than that sure even in for much with love and then in There was a Skyfall you have a hint that the villain might be homosexual. That's pretty cool It's a subtle thing and James Bond just kind of like mans up right through it's just like what we should think I haven't tried that Oh, oh, oh, I'm not a different ball says baby is bumper.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, fighting history Don't know if I get where they like an equal match for bond. Yeah, but that's a cool I like they're fighting with him in a pool or hotovers like that They push their two of them push his head under the water then he easily One hand on each of their head the pushes them right in front of them. No, it's the final shot Wait a minute are we done with their forever?
Yeah, I was he had taken a break and Because they offered him whatever he wanted. Yeah left and then they had George There's a moon monkey And then then after that movie they the studio told the producers that they had they wanted Sean Connery regardless of what the cost right? Well, I mean she had another one of the worst bongrels all time Tiffany case played by Jill St. John beautiful.
Yeah, horribly annoying. I don't remember but the movie is just so fun I don't really care. It's got a lot of what is plenty of tool I'm trying to find my my old buddy said hey, I know this one Jimmy Dean is in it and he plays a wheeler What I don't remember that care. Oh, yeah, he's a big he's been kidding that by blowfeld Bruce Glover is going to know where blow was blowfeld.
I'm not talking about the one where he like drops him into the chimney Yeah, I'm talking he was a bad guy in a bottom most of them because for a long time He was that the head but usually there was a sub person in the organization He was a one-in-sector. Yeah, and then they're like number two and three or four Which awesome powers made fun of by calling number two his number two yeah He was in five of the movies until he was brought back in the most recent and that's a good Great lady in but it wasn't always the same actor Marator and Rocky Horror picture show back. He played both on the store. He's probably my favorite little until he's a ballis played once Yeah, it wasn't me record.
It's one of my haven't seen I'm thinking might be you know It's twice like a bit wrong. Yeah, it was on her Majesty's Secret and that's I have not seen that one. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah How was he has a bond that one? No, she's all right. No, I mean there's a documentary about George Latham be and how he got the job It's called becoming bond it's great I don't want to talk about organized system of talking about this is not easy for Ron It's tough for me because I like to just jabber on I don't know if you guys like this I'm trying to keep tally of numbers and we do have some ties so far your damn rules Yeah, you know me my rules so we have a tie on our number. We have a two that are ranked 19 right now Okay, so we can come back to that once we finish going through by one so we talked about your number 12 So my mother told me that my number 11.
It's time to talk to Pussy. Oh, I love Pussy's number 11 See I'm with Jared on team Jared on this one. Sorry. Yeah, it's one of the worst ones in my I thought the story was cool It's a story about the fabric.
Yeah, oh no No, the circus circus circus. I do more running around that red shirt with his fat belly hanging on the other hands He lands his airplane like on the highway or whatever. He does. I don't remember, but it was great.
It was amazing Well, my dad was just amazing. I love octopus. It's got a great song to it. Yeah, what is that song?
Just read a collage. Yes. Yes. What is the song?
Got to what my name is it has nothing to do with the words octopus. Oh, it's all time high. I love that. I do think the villain is a little underwhelming.
He's fine But I'm one of the most beautiful who I think was ever in the bond movie Christina waveboard played manga like a woman Yeah, Steven Steven I'll play the main guy. He was in the main band guy was Louie Jordan. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, that's really cool.
He sang the song Yeah, and it's written by John Barry Tim Rice and Steven short. Yeah, Steven Verkoff had his Beverly Hills copy was the bad guy and first blood Rambo to he was the bad guy Where you scream? In the vein of Weird horrible women names in this yeah, Michaela claval played Penelope small bone Small bone sorry now you're just how God made you about objectifying women and giving them This is a blue ring out close to another great cube gadget bond goes underwater in a crocodile Yeah, I love you in the beginning with the clown It's such a good casino scene where come all is a lot of its crashways playing with these on dies and they're loaded yeah, yeah, I'm on the end on plays as a player's choice and he uses the same item beats him or ties That's right, and then the hinge I think is a go binder open there's like that He picks up the dies and crushes the dice. Yes.
I love you. That's wrong. He is I find out It's really fun. I'm not I can give away.
There's nothing that is unforgivable for me right Where's the terrible That was the first one we had ever seen I was a kid and I recorded on VHS from a TV I can't be my octopus story, okay, so is my first year in college when I came out 1983 now I have just moved to Boston I was there for like a month or maybe two months by the time I came out yeah And you know it was a different part of Boston and I didn't want to go I didn't know where this place was I didn't want to go there by myself right I could find a single person in my dorm who wanted to go see the movie So I had I was going knocking on every pile door room door and there wasn't a single person who wanted to go see the movie with me Some of the excuses was I only have enough money to get drunk this weekend And that's what we did and so finally it was the first time I ever did this and after that I didn't ask anyone if they want to do anything with me again I just went and found the movie there went so I'm moving by myself Yeah, so maybe so maybe that caused my judgment about the movie I probably enjoyed the movie at the time But I don't think it's a great movie, but I don't think it's a great movie, but again I don't hear me argue it's a great movie. It's one of the ones I enjoy it I know it's a lot of you know what I enjoy that one I enjoy that one I enjoy going to the movies by myself that bothers me It was a fact I just want small mining town and Creed right so living in a city and going out on the subway at nights The plier to the city I'd ever been in that I'd move to To do and after that I went everywhere by myself. I didn't bother asking anyone anymore. It's like okay I'll help with you guys.
How do you keep down on the farm fuck? Yeah, fuck you guys I'm going to movies I'm gonna movie I'm gonna wherever I want to go I'm going to read my help by myself So it was like me a couple that was you know way on down another row and a couple that was like several rows back And then near the end of the movie it's three pods of sniffing people like we're all crying in our own little private area During the great mile to be honest most of the movies I've ever seen especially the movie they are seen by myself I've got two movies with other people but mostly I've got to move by myself if I'm with people I have a Tensea talk about myself. I won't oh that's yeah, I know he's bothered my horrible job hopping over All right, so that was my number 11 Jeff what's your number? My number 11 is on her Majesty's Secret Service Speaking of George Lays and Beat Becoming Bond film is very funny and Lays and Beat Like you talk about somebody with the balls just balls to go in and go.
I'm not an actor I've never done this I know nothing the whole movie is it yeah because Murdered at the end there's a scene in the later movies where he's at the graveside visiting his wife. Yeah It's just such a different tone that I forgot a little bit because it's so different It's also the only James Bond theme song that isn't sung besides the first one it has to instrumental Yeah, it's only there are some songs in it At this time they were they wanted the name of the movie as a lyric in the song and they couldn't figure out any way to They're right alert that had honor Majesty's Secret Service in it. So John Barry decided okay. Well, we won't have any lyrics We'll just have music.
That was a smart decision. Yeah, it's a great. It's a great song But it's the only one besides the original from dr. No that doesn't have a That sounds there's a below felt plotness was very strange He has a health clinic where he's bringing people to like hear them like allergies and he's brainwashing them I'm gonna become like sleeper agents and he's gonna send him back out to the world But he's also the army that with like perfume that has something to Spray on the kitchen sink on this it is The two women bumper and maybe a number is down to throw.
Okay, that was damage. Okay, but this is the one where I've Go into you go to this allergy clinic and it's filled with all these women yes Yeah, I'm a bun since the other one over in that. It's actually it's actually really worth a watch and I don't find I don't find a Lot of problems with lace and be performance. I know he's not an actor first off He's a model who took on James Bond, but fine.
They did a fine job. It's just not fun But it's also not serious enough for me to get into it right it's kind of in the middle ground for me Well when he was trying to get the part he actually went to Sean Connery's um Barber and Taylor and got picked up some suits that Sean Connery hadn't bothered to pick up after he ordered them He just he got lucky with it. He got so lucky Sometimes it's being the right in the right place at the right time. That's a perfect example of it And he turned it down when he was offered the next film didn't he?
Yeah, cuz he That's where the rush No, they brought Sean Connery back for that for a time. But the reason he turned it down is they never signed a contract with him during the first movie the negotiation just kept going on and on and he is a manager told him that going into the 70s that because Bond was such That womanizer guy that he didn't think there's much future in it the role because of women's live right and so George made the choice That he didn't want to continue with it way to go George. Yeah, and has he ever done anything else? No, no, there was a documentary about him.
No, I'm surprised you haven't said this one You were getting my number two now. I'm very surprised you I thought quantum of solace would be lower for you and quantus also 9 for tonight and I was the one early on his podcast Not that's absolutely not a podcast. Oh, I like that and I own that one I don't think very highly but that's my number 10. Okay, you're feeling my number 10 is you only look twice.
Okay Mine number nine is live and let die live in land. I know my number nine is the spy who loved me Stop the spy to love me. You know all I remember about that song and the The submarine where the ship comes by and they're like fuck you I'm in the side you go drags is like this. He's kind of like the exact same plot of mood maker except under the ocean Gotcha.
Yeah. Oh, I love under water layers. I love the aesthetics of those under water layers though Oh, look ready. I think this one Barbara Fock plays the bond girl agent actually works for Russia and she does a good job.
This is also were introduced to Jaws. Yeah, Egyptian area. There's a lot going for it. I It's not what I'm I Know So it averaged out all it's average out just below top 10.
It is just It is the top half I remember that one being very fun. I think I've seen clips on TV over the past 10 or some years Isn't the spy who love me the one where his car turns into a submarine? Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, that's cool. Yeah, that's so cool It's it's it doesn't like going for it. So that was your number nine people shit on the Roger Warren's but he some of He's a really some of our really good some of our really bad. I mean is art you got some of them art in my love Bottom Well, it's I don't think it's every question of who's a better actor Roger Moore Sean Connery because let's be honest But the Roger Warren's do you have a sense of fun that I don't think also Yeah, he played Baat longer than it was he a ton of our reaction if you if you include never say never again I'm not okay.
Yeah, but but we'll put in my room. Why that Roger Moore was more he played He thought of the games bond character as a cartoonies character So he played him yeah, where as a doctor more as the opposite Sean Connery's yeah chon konary's kind of like one of the first words were the sweet man right he added is wife there's a suit because his wife abused him just on and i don't think he was so here but i think the police recall because his wife is being about the cuz he's that good one movie where he had a slap a woman that was what was what was what is what made me was difficult to do it because he was a good guy that's very cool that's what i like about it it's just i think his earlier movies just like all of them earlier movies are better than they start getting into this formula and trying to put out a lot of formula but uh... it's almost a culture shock between uh... the chon konary and then going into the night like there's a it's yet we're not doing that i know i know that it's a such a change yet as you get your number nine right now i'm just a friend of eight doctor no really surprisingly my number eight is gold finger time to go somewhere your i'm going to get a little bit of a stop you know that's what's going on your foot i thought it would be higher than that for you because i know from us what's like top three top five oh yeah i love gold finger i thought that that's one i actually remember one of the first one's i saw eight me i like it yeah i'm on your side here was lower on jerets list i thought i anyone ever would put it and i completely because it's just a fun movie see i disagree entirely that's the problem i was i have no fun with it i love that one the little shark is so the Alps or whatever so rapey in it he rakes all the right people like me well yeah i forgot about that but it's my 1961 because the voice of the villain is the actor if i really jarring to watch him yeah i get his plots fine oh yeah what's his name i earned the villain yeah or gold finger our gold finger played by gert broger proger proger proger by michael colin that was it yeah he was he didn't know english i mean i believe it was way too broken for it to be heard yeah the dubbing is a little weird but odd job no i i don't he was the first weird hitchman yeah and then the play there's a plane sequence of bond and pussy glory she is great honor black man's pussy glory she's fantastic she's great she's not i mean she is the exact opposite of pretty much every blonde looking after it no she's not over sexualized in a way that mark which she can't really hold her own in a way that most of couldn't know uh even in the end the reason they were able to overthrow gold fingers because i mean he seduces honor black man you know she kind of goes aside and then she kind of turns her mind guess and the planes don't drop the nerve gas they're supposed to yeah because what his plan was was to set a bomb off right in uh for knocks that was going to irradiate all the gold making it so that the americans couldn't use their gold right he wasn't destroying it he was irradiating it right he couldn't use it so it would have to use all his gold that was brilliant there is one really cool scene to go for good i do like where he brings a gold finger brings all these other villains to his lair he's got this really cool table that pops up and seek bunker and then some people decide they don't want to go with him so he kills them all yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes does he drop is this the one where they're dropping in the sharks oh no that's uh okay okay now this is the one i think he uses the nerve gas he was going to use layer something like that they were going to scrape this guy just okay yeah it's a table full of people yeah it's uh pretty powerful uh but the odd job fight with uh shan konner is so slow it's it's the old judo chops yeah oh yeah uh but it is i mean he is i thought the guy who played uh odd job was very fun okay and i'm pretty he's a i may be mistaken but he was a horrible human being in real life like actually bad guy yeah guy who played odd job yeah i'm sure i can find a flurid i'm sure i can find a flurid storro i'm not carrolls a car yeah i was closed i think i was thinking of a pro wrestler from back i'm not sure because he was he was in a movie called the wrestler when he played odd job oh well maybe that was it maybe that's where i got confused he wasn't a he plays a wrestler he went to wakelifting for the olympics no he was a uh heel as a wrestler he threw salt into my thighs now and then he murdered someone um in real life i don't know i can't substantiate that so you're making up shit i may be completely making this up i thought that i had read that he was a dick but i don't know he might have i don't know his name so that was your number eight that was your number eight my number seven it's time to talk you only live twice oh right that was the robert shaw one no that's from much of love no that's from her july twice was like oh it's where he was shan konner he goes to spanish company yeah yeah it is super racist super super racist but for some reason i love this one yeah i thought there's a volcano layer yeah which was very greater uh there's one where you have to want to see a later irrigator i don't think it does somewhere in the no no that is a line of bond i don't know that's true i don't know i like the fact that we they kill off bond at the beginning and you think really you're killing off bond called george lason b this is my second life when you only live twice mr bollands there's a fun and this is another one where there's a bond you're only beginning who you think is his love interest and she gets killed yeah there's a poison there's a weird there's a string that gets lowered from assassin from a rafter trying to get into shaw one of his mouth with a drop of beat of poison down he rolls over and then this woman rolls over into it drops her mouth and she dies like instantly so good assassination it's fun yeah i love that assassination with a string of beat of beat of poison it was a very nice movie that did that though i also think this is one where there's a school of school of this i might grow up with this thing i've said yeah this is one of those young girls who are like beating up the tension because they've been trained by tiktiger tenaka who's a a friend of bollands in this one professor tenaka like the wrestler okay so yes the line see later irrigator is in the movie the reason you don't remember it is because it's underball oh okay yeah which was really you hate underball yeah now you know who sings you'll do it twice Nancy's not gonna do it and uh sort of like that is i think i talked about this song is that the song you hear was made for multiple cuts because she was so nervous recording it they couldn't get one good take so they piece together a bunch of pieces from multiple takes and i like it a lot because growing up if she was wrong she'd be beaten with reeds that's what i understand frank's about her with beat her with reeds it was horrible to be reads you know like bamboo reeds and stuff like that and on cat tails should be beaten with cat tails all right jeff what is your number seven number seven from russian we're not talking about for a while i remember you saying that's one of your favorite it's time to talk living daylights that is my number six okay because i love to think i watched ten minutes of it and said pog this yeah i like to be built on awful i like i like i like him he's so swab and it's so much more intense than most bums are yeah he is a little more alive now there's one funny so we talk about finding assassinations on here one guy gets assassinated with headphones like the word phone they just get strangled in another there's there's there's an assassin is going out throughout this and he rigs a sliding door to kill a guy so it's like it shoots across and like didn't cut the just kills him oh that's horrifying though jon baker plays the bad guy in this and that's i like jon baker he comes back in the early pierce bras movies as an ally is he he's not feeling lighter than i was just another cih because i was not jon baker that's who i think jon bakers sorry yeah jonnie stavis is in this i love the rush so much until i found out he's an anti-simile oh yeah yeah he's turkish he's an actor who is just dropped now he plays a right he plays a russian general who we think is a villain turns out to be villain oh that's cool uh on reis with nuski plays necro he's the assassin who uses a bunch of weird assassin things i think he uses a boombox to kill somebody once that's right that's right there isn't it mary and diavo plays the bun girl oh she else did she play i know i've seen mary and gory and gory and gory i don't know he's watching a lot of crap on a lot of yolks yeah that's true i think she's beautiful she's jealous there's a uh toboggan ride maybe in the cello case now that i got me uh you know and we've already talked about it i know you don't like it i actually really like the name of sonya what he does i don't like i don't like no i don't like that i like i like that i like that i didn't like that i do like that there's one aha so that i like and this is an itch and you just take me on probably probably but i don't again there's the sound the sound quality of their song and their voice doesn't go with james bon no but i said it's with these soundings it's this with with these soundings song that doesn't go you know they always have the bonf- movies always start the same way with with these same kinds of graphics right that song doesn't go with the graphics of the movie i reckon it does have one of my favorite cold open so almost every as long as cold open it's like a scene right and then the movement it leads to the and so this one it's a reduction to to be the dalton and there's a series of agents that are going to this island are trying to infiltrate the island secretly even though it's an exercise so they know they're coming so they're not looking at it right and they're supposed to be in these paintball guns to shoot the agents that come in but they're not there's a sass and they're killing these other agents oh wow and uh there's a moment at the end where i think he jumps out of a truck and then parachutes down his boat and meets his own and he grabs his phone and it's a bond james like really cool open that's that's pretty neat i'll have to give it a chance i've never given him a shot like in shot i mean you know i mean he's watching i put it in just a little bit more danger than you talk at i'm just wondering if i watched ten minutes i went i think well most james bon movies are fun to watch even if they're in the lower half of my stuff it's not it's not it doesn't make my top ten that is right i would watch watch for a great no good i would watch maybe because i caught it on tv and it didn't catch it from the beginning but a lot of what's like in the middle of the position from roger warden with adult people are used to the jarring yeah sorry kind of have a good time and that's not what this one is right yeah he's a different kind of bond he's a more evolved bond and don't do two or three into two so he's even married the albic the bond is kind of cold to her at times yeah like he's supposed to be protecting her taking her back she's kind of the in the middle of this plot there's a really odd scene otherwise it'll be hard for me when he goes to afghanistan he's fighting with some radians and on horseback and it's uprising it's really cool that's a that's a famous image of him it's also a reason it's been yeah it was like an entertainment weekly i think it was the of him with the turbanon of the lee yeah lor it's a radio shot so jeff what is your number six quantum solace okay let's talk about quemisolus it's been on my list of watch for like ten years i really want i like the daniel craig movies i get i get i think of all the movies there as you're gonna find out they're in my top yeah i just want to talk about it was i put it's the lowest i put it was that was my lowest ten it was no inspector inspector is that i put tector so we haven't gotten to rial have no i've seen a lot of that so uh but quemisolus was interesting because it immediately falls to rial it is an well cinarral finishes on that kind of cliffhanger now we go oh oh and this girlfriend dies in the opening yeah the opening in this one is a car chase it's my favorite car chase any movie ever i really like the one or so i think green who plays the villainous he's he's pears mag and evil and creepy i haven't i hate the bond girl oh good girl thank you oh girl she's got she's got an arc she's got a reason kind of the same reason that you see in figure eyes only where it's when i've arranged right but i think a skyfall has yet to be mentioned by either and specter has been mentioned by one of people i put it i put it pretty low it wasn't my top half so then and that's all right one solace just in a royale so he's done yeah he's done four okay and he's got the fifth one the fifth one is he still doing the next one he's still doing this his last bond he said last one was his last one because i know they were talking about easter than he's probably his last one but who knows yeah yeah um matthew almighty place the bad guy in this one um jim arter jim's in it that just is jimford right second grade so it's dirty harbors and as well there's some pretty well done people in this one all right that we're in yeah yeah you know they're going to harbor from stranger things he always a sheriff and stranger yes i love him he's not my name but i love that he's kind of a corrupt ci agent this oh that's great so he's kind of a bad yeah he's a good guy he's a good guy he's a good guy i feel like he's lighter he's you know kind of moving up in the world i love feeling slightly i can't get enough of that character he's like six different six at least every time you say i'm a different character guy and it's not only an actor it's a new kind of iteration of feeling lighter too they're uh it's a different kind of character each time dude all right it's time to talk my number five license to kill license to kill five for me because i don't know and that's the second time of the don't really dark i'm really dark i'm really dark and i'll be honest this is the highest i have this is the highest one i have a difference in opinion on this one i hate the theme song i really do not do the theme song for license i think this is where i started hating the theme song i don't hate many there's only a few that i skip oh i like all and i i like that theme tina turner in it license to kill was um let's see michael michael port of planet tonight last time the class tina turner did another one and i like that one she did not like that one license to kill i think i can pull the real best because i don't yeah i don't i don't really like very many of the theme songs from either timothy dalton or especially the um the pierce bras and bond movies none of those are they i felt i really don't i felt all of their all of their theme songs just like their movies they had run out of ideas and it was i like they were kind of like garbage i like the world is not enough i didn't know which which one was the donald one where seems awful awful awful which one was it that was the guy i told you not to watch yeah terrible not like license guy i think fondness i got death by shark in this one um it was a good thing to go wrong but he's a torture scene by shark i don't know it's like he doesn't die he gets like his legs bitten off by the shark he's getting married in this and is a drug king pen who is like mad at the side because he got arrested and so holy shit i got to watch this one i believe i believe it is now you're ready to watch it's not a dark dark eating up his legs what's up robin dovey plays the bad guy oh he was a great eighties man carry lowlle plays movie of the blunder was my favorite bond girl but you've also got um wane newton in this one yeah plays professor joe butcher bless her heart a really young vinicio del Toro as the young shit you can't understand anything he says of course not but he's great place dario i just i love this man i think it's soft spot my heart i really like it a lot robin is one of my favorite bond only so this is the pop mark guy right he's kind of had a skin problem back in the day yes i love him he's uh he's a drug king fan there's there's selling drugs and it's just it's bill much like steven burkoff he was a quintessential eighties villain he was a villain in so many films all right so that was my number five so what is your number five specter all right let's talk specter i really like so well that's interesting my number five was your number seventeen yeah no no five five seven wow so that's not going to die how cool is that i really like specter i don't know why it's number so i'll tell you why it's so low for me i like everything about it except for chris off wall is blowfield and not that he did a job is blowfield but that it's it's this setup where either you know it's coming so it's not a big deal yeah or you have no idea who it is and it's not a big deal so either way it's not a big deal it's just it's he does a great job as the villain he's so dar he's so dar he's great he does a really good job i like the bond girl in it i like the theme song even though everyone hates the theme song i like it i like the theme song it is one of the most inspiring songs i like it's i find it fantastic there's that though with the tank chase right it's got a lot of really good moments chan being his one my favorite bond yeah yeah he's a fan of the big satellite niche badass just a badass moment i don't have a lot more to say about that because of again running a long time but it is great that's the one with funky jensen is as well uh you can give me funky dance in any day of the week she's got she's gorgeous and the way she gills in this movie is that with her legs yes she she scissors them to that that's probably not the right thing to say i know scissory doesn't mean now what it meant ten years ago you know is it basically yeah it's that strangest thing yeah but she would struggle with the legs she would in a choke hold with her thighs organically she's getting off on it but you know what that's my way to go if i'm going to go out dancing's legs oh yeah so that was my number four jeff june number four live in that die all right let's talk live in that man that was my number one most fun James Bond i love the not die but it's a little bit it's a little bit of a photo is the voodoo guy oh that's fun this is the second one that's come up in the top ten for both of us and it's the first Roger Moore movie and first Roger Moore and it's the one i like the world and i like the one who's already wings argy peters in heaven oh he's also got um solitaire as the bond girl oh the one and i didn't see that we did a bit she's on that earlier i had introduced a bit with uh it was one of the ultimate challenges maybe oh there we are i gave the quote and jared got it like immediately because of uh i love it here's one of the yeah well you got you got clifton james that shared a pepper a super racist such a hoo though jeffrey holder is there in semity right which great jeffy holder is fun i was right no whisper who is a guy who has no voice box again i thought when i told jr.
coral uh coral junior who was from uh uh doctor no because he's supposed to because he's also got i don't know the guy's name one of the bond villains oh tiki he's one can't talk also he's got a claw for a hand yes so there's a lot of fun going down yep norlin's norlin's norlin's norlin's that's where he runs over the alligators heads yep that's so much vlogger so cool actual alligators no shit all right that was my number three skyfall my number three is skyfall we did it all right i thought i was gonna do a great song adele oh i love that song she's she was an outstanding choice two so yep they brought her back and he found it yeah perfect perfect perfect perfect what's going on what's going on the bond girl is em yeah she's a bond girl no shit i mean essentially there are sex women but she's a female it's still it's still duty dim all that's great she is so good that's such a great replacement for Desmond willow and no that's cute no she was Desmond willow and Desmond was cute he was the longest piece of the bond she was not pleased to his place Bernard Lee was the original and i think that's an after that i don't know who was not really part of your bar down as the villain is incredible of course name a heiress as Eve money penny like the money penny just a lot of new takes on things it introduced Ray finds who is now amma who is oh wow he's been in two movies oh i need to i've really got to catch up on this thing he was in this i love about what i said though they introduced a new key might be now but this was a couple years ago i was there i wish i was there i wish i was a new cue like the guy who is our slash cue right and then uh uh then which is a lot more doing specters really fun specters as you this guy falls just a great great movie yeah it's all i can do it every one of the one who is but this was skyfall is yeah all right so my both of them are two is kissing a rile my number two is dr no okay i love dr no it's the first James vlogger's one andress with the white bikini is that yeah that's like we got it's iconic it's i caught it no it's the rate for it because it sets up the whole the whole thing it's that's that's it's that movie that's your James Bond you're introducing James Bond and i love the Bond girl the Bond one is there yeah there's another theme that kind of goes all the way through but it was the original Bond theme song is that one with the three blind mice yes the one yeah we assassinated one he's right you guys are on the street i don't think the villain is the most compelling i don't think the Bond girl is most probably always not docked it's a fun movie there just James Bond but i just it has a couple of things for me yeah my that was your number two yeah okay so my number one is from Russia with love really all right all right what was that number for you i know you put that one lower commercial with love i've got a fine good post-seventy i see i said so okay so i love it's great in that it is i think it for me it just follows all the all the highs and lows and this one to me if i remember correctly was a little more action even doctor no yeah it was a lot more fighting they started doing all that yeah yeah very cool very cool very cool he's a juicy fight like they go to gypsy km oh that's what's interesting about red grit is he's trying to keep on a live the entire movie yeah because he wants Bond to steal this basically the end it's called electric but it's not unique machine to crack codes and Bond steals it and then he takes it from the end but obviously Bond gets it in my opinion the most beautiful Bond girl a lot of time i love the Bond girl for my show of love she is gorgeous i'll have to check that out for a while there hulu had many of the movies i don't know if they still do but if you want to check out my name is danielle bianki it just showed up not sure maybe just showed that picture real fast oh yes danielle bianki else i suppose a club as a kind of a henchman who's in charge of this just just really good and then your number one my number one is casino royale i think the daniel craig reboot of the entire series i think it's just it's a better series it's a charting it's a charting great theme song his bond is the only human bond yeah and the rest of us he's struggling with the right so there's a caricature his is and you see him bleed you see him you know you see him in pain with the one who dies that he falls in love with kind of he's he's a dark dark movie that movie is like one of the best movies ever i just like the movie great great great great i really enjoy it even green his best Berlin is amazing uh the villain that he cries blood uh oh yeah that's right forget the actor i'm gonna feel so stupid but handle in Hannibal uh the tv show that's my cousin he's the villain he's great amazing that jeff rydus feel like it's introduced uh just incredible even they make poker fun to watch yeah even though they don't know very often the car forcing the car coursing where the dude's they find the villain yeah it was bad yeah yeah dantal gets tortured by the hit and nothing all that's right they have fewer gadgets in this movie they did it was more realistic even i like gadgets i like the gadgets but they had gotten into this thing because it was the gadgets were the whole movie the movie was the gadget so they got away they did away with most of these gadgets there was no queue in that movie or in common and and by getting it focused back on the story and bond yeah so i give you all the truth i can give you all the right excellent number 20 i guess we're 25 is mood maker with a command score 24 average 24 yep never never again was 23.5 which nobody likes died on it 23 the world is not enough at 19.5 we have a tiger run you just need to settle this all right at 19 we have for your eyes only and the man with a golden gun i'm gonna put for your eyes only because it's not memorable so lower yeah so man with a gun at least it's got some kind of manga next up we have next what we have that 16.5 so what about hiring that was torn over dies yeah 15.5 thunderbolt chum 14.5 because of me gold finger right and then we have another tie 13.5 we have view to a kill and on our majesty secret service and i've only seen bits and pieces i'm gonna go with a view to a kill as a little bit better okay so i'm gonna have to do a service and view a kill because of the Zeppelin fight another tie at 12.5 we have diamonds are forever an octopus II. Oh octopus II above diamonds are forever for sure and i like both i'm very much better than we are right at top half now yeah another tie 11 specter and license to kill uh i can't i can't see specter yeah let's put specter above that one sounds better it's got christoph Walt in it license all right 10.5 so why you love me 10 living daylights 8.5 you only live twice 8 quantum of solace and here's our top five okay at number five live and let die with average 6.5 at number four doctor note with average of five at number three for mushroom with love with average of four at number two skyfall average of three and average of one point five casino royale number one that's one movie ever made all of them are fun though except for time of the day which just sucks well hopefully dear deck heads even joined this ranking of tunes while we'll watch them all now and give us back to your definition i'm gonna go home and look for game five that's awesome i'm gonna go home and look for game five that's all we got for today yeah thank you so much for joining us we'd love to hear feedback from you guys we'll hear from you your thoughts on episodes your answers your favorites questions and such and such but until next time stay wild stay by and by the edge mr bond mr bond
