We're going to do a little plugging of him there so we have to plug some much back. But as we're going to know, you and you need to know us, I kind of want a different direction with a favorite today. Yeah. Favorite might be a strong word for this one.
Oh. But I want you to share. Here's kind of how I phrased it and it doesn't make sense. I'll explain it.
I want you to share your favorite embarrassing fad you succumb to. So something that was popular that you gave in and did, maybe like fashion wise or appearance wise or even just like a pop culture thing that you knew was dumb but you did it anyway. So I can give some examples. Yeah.

Well, host is a generous term. So I've got their embarrassing pictures to support every one of these. Oh, I've never showed to you. But when I was in first grade, I had a flat top.
You're kind of flat top. How? Why were you embarrassed about that? I mean, I gave it to it.
I mean, I had a giant round. So I had a spy chair for a little while. Yeah. Wow.
I had blonde highlights and junior high. Yeah. What are you embarrassed about these things? I think you should be embarrassed about being influenced by it.
Boy, you've been in the second grade. You're a junior high man. You got a kid who can't be popular. And it was a popular bet.
It was really dumb on my head. I was 14 when new kids on the block came out. I didn't give in. I knew they were bad.
You're a bad man. I knew kids on the block was before my time. Well, I'm just not actually that way. I'm just more back.
It was more back. So there's some things that were not cool. And I did them. You guys have anything to do with that?
But they were cool at the time. They were cool. And I did them and made it not cool. But specifically.
I thought my parents were horrible for not buying me parachute pants when I wanted them. But they actually saved me from a great tragedy. I don't want my parachute pants. Your parents were buying your clothes.
What you can't tell is that Jeff is currently wearing parachute pants. Right now. He's not ashamed about it. He's not ashamed at all.

I got a perm when I was in high school. Jesus. Why? Okay.
Otherwise reasonable people during that time here think that a perm was okay in any fashion. Like so many men had these perms and you go, when did that sound like a good idea? What man left the barbershop going? My hair is dampened.
What's in a perm or was it like a Jerry Curl? Oh no. Jeff was in the 70s. The other guy's in my high school.
We're doing it. I did it. It looked bad. It's bad now.
It's never looked good. Except I'm the seated people. I can't see it. That's why I'm proud of my hair.
Because it's very hectic. I in junior high school, there was a time in which I was never even close to what people would call coffee. Not like you are now. Not like I am now.
But I first only wear white, gray or black. And now I'm much older. Yeah. I wear a lot of black.
I wear a lot of black. No, I wear a lot of black for a long time. My wife started buying me clothes that had some color. Hey, you need blues, reds.
I still today, if I were to buy my unclothes, it wouldn't be like this. I think me not buying my unclothes supersedes my desire for black t-shirts. She's still on the pocket tees. Jeff is currently wearing a black t-shirt.
I don't want to be a black eyeliner. That was a surprise. It doesn't look so good. He's wearing a heroic shirt.

I have problems. I've got so much of my head. I don't want to try and decipher what she means. Ever since she was born, my goal was to communicate with me so I could understand what she would say and meet her needs.
And so we taught her saying that as a baby and as soon as she could talk and make real words, she started talking to everybody. She's like, why are you talking to everybody? She's talking to me. What do you want?

Are you saying that you got a sign language or not real words? No, they are real words. From your mouth. In your mind, you have a written sign language and then what you learn real words.
Alright, right. Let me stop it right there. You're not a parent. I'm trying to get the mind out.

I like the real words. I'm actually using other people than my child. Okay. But it's a lot more effort to use when you don't have to.
And there are more words that you can speak easily when you have language that you can use and you don't have to use your hands at the same time. Right. Right. As a parent you're always looking for the easiest way to communicate with your child and meet their understand you and you understand that because they can understand you a long time before you can understand that it's like reading their mind then I'm not a mind reader and she'd always get mad because I wasn't reading her mind it's needing her need so as soon as she could use language and she understood language well enough to speak it she started speaking gibberish which would drive me crazy and then she started speaking in tonight and now she tries to talk to me in these little in these LOL text message stuff like that which drives me bananas I don't every time somebody does that to me I don't know what the hell they mean because I don't use them I don't read them and so I'm standing there trying to figure out what she's saying I just use some language right this morning no no no no no I'm not even kidding I didn't say it was proper English language but it is certainly like no don't make me decode what you're saying that's all I'm saying if she spoke a different language that'd be cool that'd be fun but she's making me decode what she's saying you were just throwing shade on the kids well don't you know don't throw it there no no whatever you do this morning she I had opened this package and she told me I could throw this piece of trash that I had my hand in the GV I'm Meisner who didn't want to start a fight but have that beautiful high voice with five hundred singles six Grammy awards five American music awards and six number one albums and Eagles were one of the successful musical acts of the 1970s I was not around 1970s so I can't attest to their popularity but no you can listen you can listen they're on the radio constantly even you know you know the 80s in the Colorado yeah all we had all we had the angles not very easily no it was a small radio station like more than exposure oh no in creek Colorado back in the small down Colorado yeah well we're back to that small down what's driving through what's your drive to the mound you lose all radio you can't get the signal until you get into once you got into creed itself it opened up because the mountain because you had a little bit of a valley there and but you know it was it was catch can you never have a good signal you get some signals often it was country or gospel sometimes you get wrong but it wasn't very great I went on a road trip in 2005 we got to Colorado and this was I guess before satellite radio station still weren't that strong and we were driving south from Colorado Springs to kind of frightening like we're against you all right there were never around me county else there was old people guys and y'all don't want to drop down that road don't take them girls down there anyway I actually I watched it takes a chance on the big screen at the theater yesterday so that there's your art type right there of the guy who said no I don't know Ron still says architect I like our post-A's as opposed to the letter E that's in there I think it actually always are not like you don't want I'm lazy okay I respect their honesty the Eagles greatest hits the other 20th century the their greatest hits from 1971-75 hotel California were ranked in 20 best-selling albums in the US from that century hotel California is ranked 37th and rolling stone listed at 500 greatest albums of all time and the band was ranked I think this is disappointing 75 on the two thousand list of the 100 days are sold under only five right now artists are okay but still I want to read this list who's on well you can look up it's really I'm not gonna go that number one was the beat okay they were on top 10 who was not who was not the top 20 well this is a major round line yeah I didn't see that I didn't see data Bowie on the list which means that's where he is yeah oh yeah so the Eagles were saying I looked at the top 20 see like who was above it and there were a lot of my history like a lot of artists like that like a original round breaking Marvin Gaye was out there right so I was disappointed that we're on top 20 as well but he was a lot of people I'm biased because it's my third animal time right so the reason I was kind of strange I grew up listening to classic rock my father like that a lot so listen to a lot of my mother as well so I listened to a lot of that I took a trip to Australia right early 2000s I was young and I took a city player but I forgot to pack any cities so I have no music but it's a place we get we landed the airport and there was a little league of those duty free shops right now and I was looking for some cheese and they had help reasons over oh I bought that seat because I knew that my father had that one so I bought that so I bought that to me I wore it out yeah that's a great album so don't that one have the the California that's not I don't like that version okay I don't care for it I'm just married to the original that's only yeah this one's a little more a little more other kind of complex or samba yeah so do you guys have any favorite Eagles songs because I feel like they're all lion eyes yeah I was hearted tonight that's one 29 million copies in the US second only my projects thriller on the old time wow that specific album yeah they group originally sprouted from LA's country rock scene the four original Eagles were already experienced professionals when they were assembled as Linda Ron stands back up and I just I look a little research as to what they the individual did before the Eagles I'm not gonna tell you every name they did right but I love some of the names they advanced they played in before they all got together Lipton had played in Dillard and Clark Expedition I was in there and the flying burrito brothers yes yes Meisner playing with Poco and Rick Nelson's Stone Canyon band for I had played with various Detroit rock bands including Bob Seagurs and here's a band Long Branch Penny Whistle played the Penny Whistle I knew he played the Penny Whistle for Long Branch Penny Whistle with JD Souther sometimes on right and Henley had been with the Transplated Texas group Shiloh after working with Ron's dad Henley and Friday's I had formed the Eagles recruiting the lead in the Meisner so I want to are there any band names you know like the music we just like the name of the band because I looked up some funny band names the flying burrito brothers I don't like them and I think I like Poco I mean are there any others from you the Pantheon of history like a dumb band name or funny band name to you okay blueies are called because I mean really like I like them a lot I look up some what do you got we got so but whole surfers yeah yeah I heard that there are a couple here I had not heard though I like punk I like punk well I have one I did a ukulean banjo cover and in a great and my roommate and I got some guys together and did it and he played you got some songs I played on some songs and I was Lee vocals but and we had a friend played and we had a home which was a box drum I got and that's a tragic story and that's why I got skittish on tech week thank you bad names the first week we played it was just Drake just right just the word break yeah and a lot of people came expecting hip-hop and I was confused oh but so we went on to be Drake's beer in love but thrown in that's what it is so that's gone now anyway getting to where the Eagles got their yeah they have not settled on a band name yet they performed their first show October 1971 well one question you're a little ahead of me but this first show was under the name of Teen King and the emergencies okay now I get that I'm actually pragmatic man at a club called the gallery in Aspen yeah Don Felver credited leading with originating the name of Eagles for the band during a peyote into Keelah and the group out in the Mojave Desert when he recalled reading about the Hopes reverence for the Eagle some accounts though very with a jade south of suggesting the eagle came when Fry shouted Eagles when they saw Eagles flying above Steve Martin a friend of the band from the earliest of the tour recounted his autobiography that he suggested they should be referred to as the Eagles but Fry insisted that the group's name is simply Eagles well I like you know that you mentioned on Belver yeah really the the peacemaker of the group the guy who would never get a fight with a right with a helene they rise yeah was a good friend but they were like I'm talking to you get to that yeah yeah and they were friends with me I'm a big speaking of Peyote and Tequila ron tell us what your culture oh it was fairly well filled with with Peyote and Tequila and that's why I don't I don't have a degree I'm very educated yeah I actually listen in class I just you know didn't go little in fact about Ron he can paint with all the colors of the wind that's true that's true and I can take people on an expedition eponymous debut album with producer Glenn Johnson England who is famed for working with the Rolling Stones and the Beatles the Beatles bonus points anyone who can tell what the most means it's everywhere it's almost like a big one no by it means their name and so named when I say their apartment a album means the debut album was called so Drake is portraying the eponymous character in the contract of the film oh oh the guy the titular obviously helping some with the kitchen I don't expect you to replace to do it but you expect me to read I'm sorry I'm really I'm still about this I'm the legacy you were in for a super life my friend let me tell you released on June 1st 1972 Eagles was a breakthrough success yielding three top forty six I got right the first time off take it easy written by for a Jackson Brown Friday and Jackson Brown gold shortly after its release as did the album another single which you won't reach number nine on the bill chart that year this was followed by the soft country rock ballad peaceful easy feeling oh that's a good thing we're gonna do that a lot I think yeah they have somebody hit somebody hit the concert every song came on even if I know every lyric I was saying along to we were like with Fleetwood Mac as well yeah until Tuscane along and I was like and I feel like at this concert I was the only one under the age of 40 I was in my pocket in 2020 and an old age on the grand set your son knows all these songs I'm saying tell me stop saying it ain't gonna happen so the group support the album with the US tour and the opening act for yes yeah I'm a fan of her album quite different bands yeah I'm trying to grab there on my head right now I can't get their second album Desperado released April 17th 1973 and took old West Outlaws for its theme it was kind of like oh yeah the whole thing was was a long comparisons between their lifestyles and modern rock so which I'm sure just added to the West Coast rock persona that they were you know that they received from the media when did the other band members join we're coming up on some of that here second yeah but Desperado was their first to showcase the expansion for conceptual songwriting it was during his recording session 10 lead fry first begin writing together they co-wrote eight of the albums 11 songs including Tequila Sunrise and Desperado to the most popular songs On January 18th, 2016, founding Never Glenfry passed away at the age of 67, leaving Don Hendley as the only remaining original member. According to the website, the causes of his death were remittor of Rydus, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia while recovering from intestinal surgery. Goodness. At the 58th annual Grammy Awards in February of 2016, the Eagles joined by Lee Perfry performed Take It Easy in Honor of Fry.
In subsequent interviews, Hendley said that he didn't think the band would perform again. However, in March 2017, it was announced that the band would be headlining the Classic West and Classic East concert dance in 2017 in July that year. Don Hendley confirmed in May 16th 2017 that Glenfry's son Deacon would be performing the end of the place, along with another surprise musician. It was subsequently announced that Ben Scil performed along with the Eagles of the two of the ladders.
At the Classic West concert... It's going to be happening though, the Suns are over doing it. I think the Who, the Who is like Roger Daltry's son or the Counts and Suns are like that. I think the band was joined by Bob Seager, who was a heartache tonight, which he co-wrote and Deacon Fry was noted for his composure and precision.
