You eat the first handful as the autumn sun shines down on you, as if the universe had chosen this one particular spot in which to shine down perfection. Then a kid walks up and punches you square in the balls and runs away.
You double over in unimaginable pain. Your popcorn spilling to the ground. As you implore the universe, why would you do this to me? And the universe answered, because you let me.

We're so glad that we can bring you this quality entertainment. So when we ask around every good podcast about you, he's been right once. There was that one time. One time.
Wait a second. Well, there's a lot going on in the lives of the wild cards. Yesterday, my first speech in the late tournament. One goes out.
We had very few students that went. We couldn't take the whole team and most of the kids who went over and knew with us. So we didn't win anything. No one plays, no one made the finals.
But they showed up. They tried hard and I learned a lot because I never even been to a speech in the tournament. But I didn't know what the organization was like. I didn't know I had to judge.
So there are four rounds. There's three regular rounds and the final. I just did three of the four rounds. My first round I did broadcasting.
Oh, that's great. I won. So the first round of broadcasting, I bring the kids into the room one at a time and I have a commercial. That's what I did.
It's a written for them. I didn't know I did it. It's a written for them. And so I canned one student in the commercial.
The other one said, oh wait, yeah. So again, one kid at a time and come in the room. They had seven minutes total. Four of those minutes had to be speaking.
They were given an object and had to come up with a speech. Now the first three rounds as they come in, you'd give them two quotes. They pick one quote quickly come up the way right speech about it and then give a speech. So they had three minutes or less of preparing and then four minutes of speaking.
And five of our six kids used about a minute and fifteen to prepare. And essentially it was like a five-paragon essay. Intro, three main points with evidence and a conclusion. Wow.
And they would come up with a speech and they had a minute or two and then give it. They were all really good. They were all really good. They were all who actually used the most prep time and at least enough time speaking.
But it was just such an engaging speaker. Yeah. Like eye contact, confidence that are of ways that easy going nature, suddenly they were a little more nervous but still very eloquent. And it was just fun to be there.
Yeah. Well, that was amazing. I've judged before and it's a lot of fun. Yeah.
And then so I got left there about four thirty and as I was going home to change before what we're going to do next, I got pulled over. Oh, wow. It's been a long time since I got to speak and I've been very careful. And so I pulled over and I was like, I don't think I was speaking badly.
So when he pulls me over, he's like, you know, I pulled over and I tried to be calm and pleasant. I'm like, I guess, this would be the one I thought it was. He's like, no, no, your tags are four months expired. Oh, no.
I never got anything in the mail about this. Yeah. And the reason I wasn't expecting is because I just bought new plates in June, June 22nd. I bought new plates and when he told me it was expired, I'm like, I believe you.
And when he went back to like, take it, I pulled out my registration. I bought the tags June 22nd to expire July 31st. I had a month of life on the tag. Is that because I burned these in July?
It was two weeks after I bought tags. But there was never like, you want to go ahead and just like take care of this? And they should have. Like, because I thought it was a year.
Yeah. I thought it was the last year. I bought tags now. Surely I have a year on these.
You just know I got to find the last. I got the last one. You did one of the largest. The year before I got it, I got it.
I haven't gotten one in years. I got one in the last year. I got them every year. Never mind.
I did. So, I'm not mad at the cops. The cops doing his job. He was incredibly pleasant.
I'm respectful and like, here's what you can do. The ticket is the ticket. But when you go, if you fax this, they won't do me a court date. All that stuff will go away.
It'll be fine. Just make sure you get this in. Carrot. I'm just like pissed at the clerk here.
And I'll be like, you know, next month come back in. You think that'd be the first thing they'd say is absolutely this is good. This is due in two weeks You want to just go ahead and register for I would love to pay that But anyway, that's not that cranky about it like it's stupid. It's fine.

We haven't heard back from him.

And I saw this big pile of research that I've done for that first episode Oh, yeah, there's a lot of people in mind that I'm going to put every episode on Like potentially do them and like find stupid things you said and you just put the first one up Yeah, the next one and so this is part four of the alien Part two of the aliens part two. Yes, the very way of the year and a half ago The second episode of other walkers was the walkers want to believe okay, so this is the third iteration of aliens great.
Yeah, okay. We got it You got it all right aliens five all right, so So today we're going to examine two incidents or if we run out of time only one but No, not not not. Surely we would never talk about these two incidents are often shown on the conspiracy channel or the history channel I don't know what that guy that are offered as a guy. He's got the hair that goes straight up He's one of the conspiracy theorists now that are offered as proof of that aliens are here So these are two of the stories that are cited over and over again in different series by different people It's not just the same people's signing them over and over again It's different every that brought up in all of these things when he said the proof that aliens are here He just pointed it wrong.
Yeah, well the proof be anymore. Can we do my friends? Both of these reports Both of these reports I took directly from the mutual UFO networks website or move on calm or I've lightly edited both, but these are their words not mine. I didn't write these reports May I ask a question yes, you may are these based on certain geographies where the local people had see are several people are reporting these incidents based on geography Each of these takes place in a different place and there's several people involved in each But I don't think that's the same question that you're not a geocentric.
No, okay, okay? Well, I was thinking area 51 like people have seen weird lights coming out. Okay. Well, these are specific places.
That's what that's what I'm Yeah, that's all centered around that one. Yes, okay. So the first one we're gonna talk about is the Randall Shum Forest incident Which took place in 1980 I'm gonna tell you So the okay, so now I'm getting into the report and you'll find it I'm reading this report that it's not as one side as you might expect So we say one side there is skepticism. Oh, there's yes.
This is a largely known event, but it's the it's called into question rather easily Well, you you'll decide how easily it's called into question. I'm gonna read you my edited version of their report Yeah, which is mostly for legibility and putting it in American English instead of British English and we're where did this take place? Well, this took place in England. I'm gonna know it's all here.
Okay, so the Randall Shum Forest incident is the name given to a series of reported sightings of unexplained lights and the alleged landing of craft or multiple craft of unknown origin in Randall Shum Forest Which is in Suffolk, England in late December 1980. Okay, okay, just now Randall Shum Forest is just outside of RAF Woodbridge, which is Pearl Air Force Base and at the time it was used by the Air Force American Air Force Okay Dozens of United States Air Force personnel were eyewitnesses to various events over a two or three day period It is it is the most famous UFO event in Britain as well as one of the best known UFO events in the world It's sometimes referred to as Britain's Roswell It makes me so happy that we're talking about this is eyewitness reports of something the week after talking about the Nandell effect On trustworthy The Ministry of Defense this is Britain's Ministry of Defense denied the event posed any threat to national security and stated that it was therefore never investigated as a security matter Evidence indicated that there was a substantial Ministry of Defense file on the subject which led to claims of a cover-up Some interpreted this as part of a larger pattern of information suppression concerning the true nature of un-unapplied flying objects Yes, I did I did I did I did I did apply to lie? It's a serious question about this speaking of government cover up boy if you were the head of a government and there were And you the wild wild Illuminati, of course Yeah, if you had received several reports of aliens lights in the forest or what I remember this story I remember a buddy of mine It may have been on real people or something this was the beginning of sensationalism kind of and a friend of mine When I was a kid scared the shit out of me. I was doing a sleepover and he mentioned aliens landing in the forest He lived in a wooded area and he had seen phantom lights, you know traveling like that But let's say you reported this and there is a hundred percent evidence that this happened This is true aliens are out there as as a government leader Would you want the people to know your populace would you want them to know?
It would depend on how much intelligence we have yeah, if we don't know anything other than that there's something there Yeah, we don't know what their intentions are then I would absolutely cover it up. Let's say it's not close contact, but it's You know indisputable proof 100 an alien spaceship that no country that defies physics. Well, here's what I would do I would because something like that is You know people are I mean, that's the claim that a lot of people have right now that you know the government's covering up But there's all this proof of it right so I Think what I would do depending on what the evidence is what the actual contact is Yeah, is I would start leaking stuff to them into the mainstream so that people get used to the idea then start bringing forth more and more evidence So that people gradually come to this reality without like throwing something in their face right immediately that turns their world upside down That's probably smart. That's a really thoughtful way to do it.
We did completely you keep it hidden Yeah, anyone claimed it I would try to explain them why we would cover it up because people don't always react well in situations I'm thinking even like snow Even behavior logically when snow happens and that happens literally every year. Yeah, I don't think people can handle this I mean think of even like I mean we talked about even this specific boy as a Christian like how people could handle the idea There's like other planets. Yeah, a lot of those people crumble I feel like I don't want to say complete anarchy because that may be going too far But I don't know if people handle this so I would try to explain this to people who've seen whatever it is They've seen yeah, and then if they would refuse to cover it up I would I would make them look it is now what if there have been closing Is that too rational is that too? That's exactly what people are accusing the gods.
Yeah, so Jared would be the men in black Yeah, you know what I mean, but let's see there's a storm now That's a bad been close contact but like in close encounters of their kind kind of thing You've seen them, but that was really weird. They just kind of came off the ship took some people willing volunteers That's different boy completely different. I've seen them and I'm not in the government on everybody. Yeah.
Yeah, no I'm gonna put me in a government position where my responsibility is the welfare of people if I'm the guy who's seen it I mean, I don't know though because I know what it's like to I think you know seeing the news You know what it's like to do conspiracy nuts, right? I think I would tell people yeah, it's interesting It was too intriguing for me not to I'd be careful about who I told oh you have to be very careful Because the reaction you might get as a civilian from the government if you weren't a government leader in you saw it 100% But anyway, oh, thank you. Thank you. All right, so one person to take the view and the view was that Well, I know I forget what the view was but anyway This view was an eyewitness and deputy based commander Colonel Charles Halt another was former NATO head and UK chief of the defense staff Lord Peter Hill Norton who stated whatever happened at the US Air Force base was Necessarily of national security interest So however when the file was released in 2001 it turned out to consist mostly of internal correspondence and responses to inquiries from the public skeptics note that the lack of any in-depth investigation in the public release documents is consistent with the Ministry of Defense's earlier statement that they never took the case seriously In the release files is an explanation by defense minister Lord Trev game or Trev Garnie As the white Ministry of Defense did not investigate further the sightings have been explained as misinterpretations of a series of nocturnal lights a fireball Offeredness lighthouse and the right story.
He's trying to downplay this. It was just a fireball They didn't look into it as a fireball that term been used in a conduct that wasn't magic Right Redwood force is owned by the forestry commission and consists of 5.8 square miles of corn coniferous plantations interspersed with broad-level belts hard He planned and wetland area. So that's the kind of forces actually I think I think I'm kind of thing I picture coniferous trees first of all like the Northwest that kind of aliens landing in a work in that kind of thing Okay, so the incident occurred in the vicinity of two former military bases RAF bent waters Which is north of the forest and rfa wood bridge which extends to the into the forest from the west In at the time both were being used by the United States Air Force and were under the command of wing commander Colonel Gordon E Williams The base commander colonel Ted Conrad and his deputy was lieutenant Lieutenant Colonel Charles I halt Halt's memo to the Ministry of Defense on the incident and his personal involvement in the second night of the sightings has given the case credibility The main event so when halt witnessed this yeah, and like another guy was probably kind of revealing to have to his whole point myself Yeah, I imagine the other guy yelled halt That's a lot of setup The main events of the incident including the supposed landing or landings took place in the force which starts at the east end of the base He said three days two or three days is to go so the four six days were about a mile. Okay, so One thing to keep in mind before we get into the actual thing is Orford Ness lighthouse which skeptics identify as the flashing light scene off the coast by the airmen is along the same line of sight But five miles further east of the force edge is it possible?
That could have happened. Well, let's go over a whole bunch of evidence here Okay, all right, that's what I want now. I want to hear the evidence where they think they're where they want us to buy them I'm here. I like the fact that Jared pointed to the arrow on my piece of paper to know where we were headed We're heading over there.
We're heading to the right. Okay, so around 3 a.m. On December 26, 1980 strange lights were reported by security patrol near the East Gate of RAF Woodbridge Apparently descending into the nearby rental chimp forest service men initially thought it was a downed aircraft But upon entering the forest investigate they saw according to halt memo a strange glowing object metallic in appearance with colored light To be honest, I find that slightly compelling. Yeah, these are men who are intelligent men working alright But they even say they even said we went there thinking it was just an aircraft They didn't say we saw alien lights in the sky Right, so like this guy they explained it and when they approached the site it wasn't what they were expected.
Yeah, they're not sensational I think what they found there's there's a hystereotic response to this Did you read that word today? I did I use it twice? I love that word for the life of the past week Yeah, he said it yesterday Yeah, as they approached it moved through the trees and the animals on a nearby farm went into a frenzy the craft left three impressions Or depressions in the ground that were visible the next day one of the servicemen sergeant Jim Peniston later claimed to have encountered a crap An unknown origin and who have made detailed notes of its features touched its warm surface and copied the numerous symbols on its body What the object allegedly flew away after their brief encounter? Peniston also claimed to have seen triangular landing gear on the object while undergoing regression hypnosis in 1994 Penison subsequently claimed that the crap he encountered had come from our future and was occupied by time travelers not extraterrestrials So he's hypnosis.
Oh, yeah, that's right now. I remember it's in the future. I am down the rabbit hole of flakiness right now I don't know what to believe. All right.
Well, let's keep going down that old. That's something Well, I wanted to believe this guy wanted to be like well, there's a rational military guy who has seen a lot He's saying he saw a lot. Yes, it is. They're from the future.
Why would they need to come back in time? Yeah, no Anyway, Sergeant Peniston's report made shortly after the incident contains no mention of a physically encountering an unknown crap Nor of interacting with it this report and associated sketches are neither signed nor dated nor are they nor are they representative of Air Force Form 1169 statement of witnesses shortly after 4am local police were called to the scene But reported that the only lights they could see were those of the Orford Nest lighthouse some miles away on the coast After daybreak service men returned to a small clearing near the east I can't speak eastern edge of the forest and found three small impressions in the triangular pattern as well as burn marks and broken branches on a nearby tree Or nearby trees plaster casts of the imprints were taken and have been shown in television documentaries at 10 30 a.m The local police were called out again this time to see the impressions on the ground which they thought could have been made by an animal Several servicemen and the deputy base commander Lieutenant Colonel Charles I halt return to the site again in the early hours of the 28th with radiation detectors Which detected radiation in the depressions and on the near side of a tree although the significance of the readings They've changed is disputed halt recorded the events on the micro cassette recorder It was that he was carrying with it during all doing the investigation It was during this investigation that a flashing light was seen across the field to the east almost in line with a farmhouse So this is the 28th this yeah, the next night or two days on the Orford Nest lighthouse is visible further to the east in the same line of sight Later star-like lights were seen in the sky to the north and south the brightest of which seemed to beam down a stream of light from time to time Well, so let's think about that light has removed. I think how long these guys have been stationed there They would know what the light from the light was like They wouldn't be like oh strange lights. They'd be like that's like that is not the one has lights Yeah, you think that yes, they would be aware of it There are claims that the incident was videotaped by the United States Air Force But if so the resulting tape has not been made public the first public report of the incident was published in the tabloid newspaper News of the world on October 2nd 1983 whoa beneath the sensational headline for years later UFO lands in Suffolk and that's official And that's official the story was based I don't think that the tabloids are gonna get fixed The world news is now official the story was based on an account by a former US airman using the pseudonym art Wallace Supposedly to protect himself against retribution by the Air Force although his real name was Larry Warren Oh Larry Warren Larry Warren the first piece of primary evidence to be made available to the public was a memorandum written by the deputy base commander lieutenant Colonel Charles I halt to the Ministry of Defense known as the Hulk memo This was made available publicly to the in the United States under the US Freedom of Information Act in 1983 the memorandum was dated January 13th 1981 and headed unexpected or unexplained lights The memo was not classified in any way Dr.
David Clark has investigated the background to this memo and the reaction to it at the Ministry of Defense Is interviews with the personnel involved confirmed the cursory nature of the investigation made by the Ministry of Defense and failed to find any evidence of any other reports On the incident made by the United States Air Force or UK apart from the halt memo What if halt is like general river from dr. Strange love though where he's like this lunatic? Oh, well, we're gonna get more into the halt Okay, okay, because he's reminded me of Sterling Hayden The Scottish researcher James Easton And a really close to mind It is okay the original witness date might be of the same positions for those letters Probably one letter of the last name is it me? No, it's not no you already born The Scottish researcher James Easton succeeded in obtaining the original witness statements made by Colonel halt by Fred a buren 81st security police squadron airman first class John burrows 81st le airman Edward in Cabansug 81st security police charge squadron master sergeant a de Chandler 81st security police squadron and staff sergeant Jim penison and 81st security police squadron.
No, I guess I wrote those backwards anyway These documents are now in the public domain. Are these all signed off on this and said, yeah Well, they all wrote He took their way to say we'll find out We're not saying that they all said that's not taking all of them said yeah, it was out there These documents describe the sightings of strange lights penison for instance states that directly to the east about one and a half miles in a large Wooded area a large yellow glowing light was emitting was emitting emitting above the trees In the center of the lighted area directly in the center of ground level There was a red light blinking on and off five to ten at five to ten second intervals and a blue light that was being For the most part steady burrows penison and cabansug drove drove into the forest in search of the source of the lights Burrows reported a noise like a woman was screaming and also thought that you could hear the farm animals making a lot of noises I figured it all out first of all is he's land anything like swan plan is that No, it's not always marshy, but it's okay methane gas That's for the lights the woman screaming was a screech owl a bad sheet for a banshee But I've heard a screech owl in the woods and it's terrifying. It sounds exactly like well the just jumping out of the screaming was probably from the mutt Dear of the force which are known to make these kinds of screaming noises. It makes sense.
