The writer of Hebrews 12 compares our lives to a race and tries to convey and convince us that we must run with endurance if we plan to finish this life well.What a blessing to know that we can lose the dead weight of life’s baggage. What a joy to welcome those watchers who wish us evil and failure and who actually wish us well--knowing God is watching us through it all. What a privilege to know that God has called us to strengthen and lift up our hands while we walk even though the race is not yet over.
