The Winter Park Mystery: The Death of Michael Redlick

In January 2019, Danielle Redlick called 911 to report the death of her husband, Michael Redlick, initially claiming he suffered a heart attack before admitting they had a violent altercation involving a knife. Investigators found a cleaned crime scene smelling of bleach and discovered that Danielle had waited eleven hours to report the death, during which time she searched for suicide methods and browsed a dating website. Although the prosecution argued she was a cold-blooded killer, the jury acquitted her of second-degree murder based on claims of self-defense against domestic abuse, convicting her only of tampering with evidence.
