The wiser path by Kai-Anne Clews

from Original Christian Poetry · host Kai-Anne Clews

When wounded by some evil, Too many, too many people, Discard their love, in order to keep the World. Discard rather the World and keep your love. This is by far the wiser path. Too many see the hard world, And rush to make their hearts hard, So to keep in step with this burning orb, And thus end before they start. Rather leave the world To its hardness And let your own heart burn with love. Let rather your sorrows be peerless, Be the Lords most gentle dove. This is by far the wiser path. When evil is done to you by detestable humans, Do not let them become your teachers in hate. Accept the rejection and continue to love, Then you will never be defeated or can abate. Understand this is a passing place, These pleasures will all rot in the sod. Understand that everyone is a passing face, Look then to the eternal love of God. Seek then His ineffable Grace – Seek then the route to eternity, Seek then to step with His steady pace, To the truest place of unity.
