The Wishing Tree

A timeless story for children and for grown-ups who love listening too. From the desert state of Rajasthan comes a thoughtful folktale about a weary traveller, a mysterious tree, and the quiet power of a single wish. The Wishing Tree follows a traveller crossing the vast Thar Desert who stumbles upon something unexpected. Beneath its shade, he discovers that his wishes seem to come true, one after another. But as his thoughts begin to wander, he slowly realises that not all wishes are as simple as they first seem. This is a story filled with stillness, wonder, and a gentle sense of mystery. It invites listeners to pause, to notice their thoughts, and to reflect on how easily they can grow and change the world around us. This episode is perfect for bedtime, quiet time, or reflective listening.
