need to tell you something that might sound twisted... Getting breast cancer was the best thing that ever happened to me. Not because I enjoyed the pain, the fear, or the treatments. But because it killed off a version of myself that was slowly suffocating me anyway. The woman who said yes to everything and meant none of it. The woman who lived for everyone else's approval. The woman who was so busy being who she thought she should be that she forgot who she actually was. Cancer didn't just threaten my life - it forced me to examine whether I was even living one worth saving. In this episode, I'm sharing the uncomfortable truth about how trauma can be the greatest teacher you never wanted. How being forced to face your mortality can actually set you free. And why the person I became after my diagnosis is someone I never could have been without it. I'm talking about the specific ways cancer stripped away everything that wasn't essential. The masks that fell off. The pretenses that crumbled. The moment I realized I'd been living someone else's life and calling it my own. But here's what's beautiful about rock bottom: It gives you a solid foundation to build something real on. The woman I am now? She's braver, more authentic, more alive than the woman I was before. She speaks her truth even when her voice shakes. She chooses herself even when others don't understand. And she only exists because cancer forced the old me to die. Sometimes destruction is just creation in disguise.
