The Woman Who Found the Light Under the Overpass on Route 9

When Luna's car breaks down on a deserted stretch of Route 9 outside Tolland, Connecticut, she takes shelter under an overpass where a single streetlight burns at two in the morning. There she meets an old woman named Hilda who tends the light with a wet rag and a bucket. Hilda tells her that the light marks where her daughter disappeared forty years ago, and that she has kept it burning ever so the girl can find her way home. As dawn approaches, a car approaches with its headlights off.
