The Wonder Years: Mother's Day Double Feature S3E4: Mom Wars and S4E17: When Worlds Collide

Hey Wonderlings, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back On My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, I'm celebrating Mother’s Day with a Norma Arnold Double Feature with S3E4: Mom Wars, which aired on October 31, 1989. In this episode when Mom grows concerned about Kevin playing rough in touch football after school, Kevin has to make a choice. and of course S4E17: When Worlds Collide, which aired on March 20, 1991. In this episode when his mom takes a job in the attendance office at his school, Kevin worries that his life is "ruined". After his mom embarrasses him during a fire drill, Kevin tells her to no longer talk to him while at school. I thought these two episodes were good examples of Kevin's relationship with his Mom, I mean at the end of the day he will always love her, but she needs to learn boundaries and Kevin needs to handle these issues in a respectful way without lashing out.
