Happy Wonder Wednesday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back on My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Today, I covered S1E10: Lads and Ladies and Us, which aired January 5, 2022. In this episode Bill and Lillian join high society club Lads & Ladies as a way to introduce Kim and Dean to positive influences in the community; Bill, Kim and Dean fit right in, but things take a turn when Lillian is treated differently for being a working mom. I'll say, I liked this episode but I didn't love it. I felt bad for Lillian for how she was treated by Dorothy, the head of the Lads and Ladies committee for putting Lillian down for being a working mom. But Bill and the kids fit right in. For once Dean's space and science talk which no one at his school really cares about actually here helped him score some talking points with these kids. Of course Kim and Lillian's fighting reminded me a lot of Jack and Karen from the OG Wonder Years, so I played some clips from Season 3 Daddy's Little Girl.
