The Wonders of Woodturning & Timeless Furniture Design with Brian Boyd, CEO of Thonet GmbH

On the Home Show this week with Sinead Ryan Inspired by last week's Object of Design, Sinead thought she'd speak to one of the many woodturning experts working throughout the country to chat about the art and what makes it so popular now. Master Wood Turner, Glenn Lucas of the Glenn Lucas Woodturning Centre joined Sinead to chat about his love of the craft and how different woods in different parts of the world return completely different results. Brian Boyd, CEO of prestigious furniture company Thonet GmbH, joined Sinead to talk about the pathway that led him to Germany, the design process of Thonet furniture, and just what makes Thonet so timeless. Interior Designer, Jenny Wood also took a call from Sinead to give her some of the best ways to disguise the more unsightly items that are littered throughout the home. Resident architect Roisin Murphy joined us to give us some advice on how best to insulate our homes as the cold weather returns.
