The Wood Brothers

from Load-In Through The Back · host Load-In Through The Back

Today’s guest is the singer and guitarist behind one of America's most beloved roots-rock groups: the Wood Brothers. Growing up in a musical family, Oliver Wood formed the Wood Brothers with his brother Chris, of acclaimed jazz fusion group Medeski, Martin, & Wood in 2001. Since then, the group has released nine studio albums, toured with the likes of Gov’t Mule, String Cheese Incident, Grace Potter, and Taj Mahal, as well as garnered a GRAMMY nomination for “Best Americana Album.” Oliver joins us from the road to discuss the upcoming winter tour beginning February 6th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the art of following versus wrangling a song, his musical origin story, and Steve Poltz. We all love Steve Poltz.  Visit TheWoodBros.com and follow @theWoodBros and @OliverWoodMusic to stay up-to-date on tour dates and upcoming releases.
