The Wooden Bird - PART ONE

This is a great micro-fictional story based on true events. Back in 1941, many Ukrainian families HELPED Jewish families hide and survive the Nazi occupation of the Soviet Union. Operation Barbarossa was a massive invasion and millions of Jews were targeted and killed. This is one story of survival. Not only did the Ukrainian family help save a Jewish family, this decades later during the Russian - Ukrainian War, they found each other and now the Jewish family were able to help save the Ukrainian family.
