The Words That You Say
from John Dyhouse · host John Dyhouse
This song wa written in 19080, but I never really sang the song very much. Although I seem to have writtenplenty of songs, I seem to have been writing songs which did not eally connform to my style. This was at a time when singer-songwriter would have described me, plus a smattering of folk and rock songs. But like this one, I was writing songs outside of these norms. At leasr that is the only way I can understan why so many simply got forgotten. I am just glad I fastidiously kept a record of the lyrics. So here again, I have let Sun loose on the lyrics with the meerest of prompting, homing in on the style (or at least its direction) as the iterations were generated. Of course, I have to say I eventually found one that I loved. There's always one but again it was a difficult choice.
