The Work Podcast Episode 33 - Don't Jump Ship

from Savage Perspective Podcast · host Robert Sikes

This week on The Work, we kicked things off with a little debate about whether I should open every episode with a song request — apparently y’all want me singing more than Greg does. From there, we dove straight into weekend adventures: Greg battled the wildest gravel road in Arkansas just to get to Whitaker Point, and I battled… well… my truck. Let’s just say deer camp didn’t go as planned. One pothole, a three-foot airborne moment, and a whole lot of broken suspension later, I ended up hauling my wounded 3500 home on a trailer. No deer, no meat, just a big repair bill and a very humbled Sikes. We talked fasting — Greg kicked off a three-day water fast and I shared how extended fasting fits better once you’re out of a caloric deficit. Then we drifted into the carnivore-to-keto-to-back-to-carbs trend online, and why staying rooted in real food and consistent principles matters more than chasing the hype. People jump ship fast. I’ll stick with what works. We also hit on social media, my “toilet paper in the fridge” reel experiment, and the strange corners of the internet — including the no-wipe carnivore movement and the people drinking their first morning urine. (No, neither of us are signing up for that.)We previewed the upcoming Hack Your Health event, where I’ll be on the food addiction panel again — likely ruffling a few feathers with my stance on extreme ownership. At the end of the day, you put the fork in your own mouth. That message usually lands. From there it was travel, parental adventures (my folks are literally sailing around the world with six months’ worth of Keto Bricks), winter nasal breathing, AI deepfakes, gym talk, upcoming deload timing, and plans for next year’s show — including a massive local charcuterie board situation we’re pretty excited about. We wrapped the episode the way we always do: ready to get back to work, film a reel, and keep pushing everything forward.Greg Mahler is also a lifetime natural bodybuilder, and can be followed on Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/ketogreg80/Register For My FREE Masterclass: https://www.ketobodybuilding.com/registration-2Get Keto Brick: https://www.ketobrick.com/Subscribe to the podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/42cjJssghqD01bdWBxRYEg?si=1XYKmPXmR4eKw2O9gGCEuQ
