Her articles for The Miami Herald, The Village Voice, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Billboard, Ms., and elsewhere have won numerous awards. Evelyn is a professor of journalism and faculty director of Media, Arts & a Just Society at Loyola Marymount University.
