Two young women go missing from a famous local bar in Scotland called The World's End. When their dead bodies are found, police start a groundbreaking investigation into the serial killings. The Small Town team crosses the pond to talk to retired Deputy Chief Constable Tom about a decades-long case that changed the way a whole country investigates violent crime. Special Guest: Ret. Deputy Chief Constable Tom was one of Scotland’s most senior police officers during his tenure. A graduate of Edinburgh University and The FBI Academy, his last role was as commander of a linked murder investigation, commonly known as The Worlds End Murders. He writes a regular "Inside Justice" column for The Scotsman newspaper and has authored several books, including "The Worlds End Murders: The Final Verdict" and a groundbreaking study of forensic science called "Ruxton: The First Modern Murder."
