The worst aspects of owning an electric vehicle is not being an insufferable EV enthusiast, waiting for the thing to charge after handling the tangled cables, the immeasurable emissions wrapped up in the manufacturing of a two-tonne battery-powered machine - nor is it the stupid run-flats or tyre goop that replace a proper spare tyre. It's not even the fact carmakers insist on hiding every fricken function behind a big, distracting LCD touchscreen. The worst part of actually owning an EV is far more basic than that...
