The Wound is Where the Light Enters.

from Grow with Me by Suhailah · host Suhailah Yoba

Episode 4 of Grow with Me by Suhailah is titled “The Wound is Where the Light Enters”—a quote from Rumi, the 13th-century poet.I recorded the intro (4 mins 7 seconds) to this episode this morning, Saturday, May 10th—the same day we are uploading the episode, although I mistakenly say May 9th in the intro. As such, since tomorrow is Mother’s Day and this is Mother’s Day weekend, I dedicate this episode to my mother, my Oumi. An extraordinary woman who endured many wounds in her early life… and who was also a bright light in this world—because of them, or in spite of them.To Oumi, Mahmoudah… Diane… Happy Mother’s Day, my love. I love you eternally. For eternity. On all planes and in all dimensions. And in every single lifetime—whatever we might have been to each other in those. I miss you so much. 💐💐Your daughter,~ Suhailah 🩷💫✨In this episode, we explore: What is anxiety asking from us? This was meant to be a follow-up to Episode 3, to bring us back into balance, but this episode is not about anxiety alone. This is shadow work. This is healing. This is reflection. This is awakening, and it applies to any part of us that needs attention. This episode is about facing ourselves not to fix, but to feel—to remember the parts of us we’ve hidden and to come back into harmony from the inside out.The highest knowledge is not learned; it’s recalled. And so we are recalling, remembering our whole selves from within and bringing ourselves back into inner harmony and balance. Healing is harmony. It’s about healing the divide within. And also because the better we know ourselves, the less we fear. And this is needed now more than ever, in these times and in the times to come. The wound is where the light enters—because the light was never separate from you, from us, only waiting to be remembered.________P.S. To clarify, I was diagnosed (or treated) for anxiety by a licensed therapist (after discovering Sheryl's work), & later, a different therapist told me about PTSD, & a healer about CPTSD. The woman, teachings, & body of work I reference in this episode is Sheryl Paul here. I have not read Sheryl's book, but it is here: The Wisdom of Anxiety._________📌 Click Here for a Quick Two-Minute Grow with Me IntroConnect with Me:📸 On Instagram:@growwithme_bysuhailah @suhailahyoba @awakenthebrand▶️ On YouTube: @bysuhailah✨ Looking for more guidance, clarity, and tools for personal growth or for your brand & business?
