The Wrestler

from RollTheCredits's podcast · host Frank DiSalvo and Zach Johnson

A man so prominent in his profession cut down merely due to his age is a hard thing to realize. A story all too real to most wrestlers that have outlived their prime as we follow Randy "The Ram" Robinson, a professional wrestler that due to his old age is only able to work the indie scene. Aronofsky creates an immersive world with a camera style much like a documentary that you can't help but to feel for him as he struggles to recapture his glory all while picking up the pieces to his life outside the ring. For many wrestlers, they live for the ring, and to Randy, this is where he belongs.
