The Write-In
from Literary Titan Hosted by Literary Titan
Retired Army Colonel Jake Kilthread is content with his new life as a small-town Oklahoma news anchor until a disastrous presidential debate ignites his frustration with a divided America. In a moment of unpremeditated candor, he tells his viewers to write his name on the ballot. What starts as a protest statement explodes into a national phenomenon. Fueled by viral social media and a populace desperate for a genuine leader, Jake achieves the impossible: he becomes the first-ever write-in President of the United States. But his victory is only the beginning of the battle. On Inauguration Day, an assassin's bullet meant for him is taken by his head of security. Thrust into the Oval Office, Jake must confront a hostile Congress intent on his impeachment, a looming world war sparked by a crisis in the Middle East, and the chilling knowledge that the conspiracy to kill him is far from over. Unbeholden to any party, Jake must rely on the same integrity and resolve that won him the election to save his presidency and pull the nation back from the brink. 📖 Available on Amazon: https://amzn.to/4d7838P
