The Writers’ Block Episode 28

from The Writers' Block · host Phineas Dowling

David and Phineas chat about Phineas' trip to Mobile over the weekend and David's new appreciation for Jake Gyllenhaal after watching Nightcrawler. The hosts move slightly away from the topic of creative non-fiction of the last few weeks to now discuss journalism and they interview Jim Little, editor-in-chief of The Auburn Plainsman, to get the scoop in the Writer Spotlight. Phineas also challenges David to choose one original song he actually likes by an artist who he otherwise feels is vastly overrated. David cheats, of course. Also, if you think the last segment sounds a little different than the live version as though we recreated it after the fact in some elaborate attempt to fool the listening public into thinking nothing went wrong with the recording and our backups, then you are crazy.
