The chemistry between her and Pierson Fode's charming cowboy bachelor feels genuine rather than forced.Indeed, every plot twist is obvious long before it happens. Yes, the fish-out-of-water scenario hits all the anticipated notes. However, director Janeen Damian recognizes that the key to a successful rom-com isn't about surprising the audience... it's about making the expected journey enjoyable.The satire of reality TV offers clever meta-commentary without veering into cynicism, while the Texas backdrop provides stunning visuals that make you forget this was filmed in Canada. ;) The supporting cast brings believable chaos to the dating show, and Nicole Henrich's script discovers new perspectives within well-trodden ground.
