The Young Conquerors Series: FINDING ALAN TREADWELL Chapter 15 The Ready or Nots

In our last episode, Alan and Jimmy got to the baseball field and found that none of the kids had shown up. It was soon clear to them—no one wanted Jimmy to be there. Alan felt bad because he didn’t want Jimmy there either.  However, remembering how his mom had once told him to treat others the way he wanted to be treated, he decided to say something nice to Jimmy. Once the rest of the kids arrived, Marcus and Craig made sure Jimmy knew they didn’t want to practice with him. Uncle Gerald complimented Jimmy on his pitching and invited him to practice. None of the other kids protested, so an excited Jimmy agreed to stay. For that one afternoon, he was happy to be just one of the kids who loved the game of baseball.
