Uncle Gerald told Alan he had a surprise for the team but didn’t reveal what it was. He asked Alan to go and round up everyone for practice. When Alan and the other boys reached Jimmy’s house, they didn’t want to get him and didn’t want him on the team. Alan decided to do what his uncle had asked and that was to get everyone—including Jimmy. Alan felt bad when he realized Jimmy had heard what the other boys had said about him.  Jimmy apologized for the way he had treated Alan and Alan saw that as a new beginning. Alan and Jimmy went to the field where they found Uncle Gerald and the rest of the team. When Uncle Gerald realized there were some who didn’t want Jimmy to play, he reminded them that a real team works together.
