Every day of the past few weeks has brought new information about the Zika virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a warning for pregnant women not to travel to certain countries in South America and parts of the Caribbean.The latest warning is that expectant mothers who contract the virus can give birth to babies with microcephaly (abnormally small heads). This can cause developmental delays, shorter lifespan, and death.If you're not pregnant or intending to become pregnant, the virus is fairly harmless.
