The5 with Jose Marroquin of the Society of Actuaries

Jose Marroquin, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager of the Society of Actuaries, joins The5 to discuss Engaging and Sustaining Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.  Jose dives into this topic to look at how groups can go beyond a surface level DEI approach to better embed DEI into their culture.   Jose believes in leading with his values, participating in life long learning, and being an advocate for equity. Currently, Jose is the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Manager at the Society of Actuaries. Previously, he served as the Director of Student Affairs, within the Nursing School at Loyola University Chicago.   In addition, Jose has acquired leadership board experience while serving with the ALPFA Chicago Professional Board, OMD Chicago Associates Board, and the ACPA Latinx Network. Jose has a B.S. from Western Illinois University, M.A. from Ball State University, and a MBA from Loyola University Chicago.   The5 is a celebration of the work being done by nonprofit professionals, highlighting valuable tips and methods that nonprofits should be utilizing.  The5 is aptly named as NMBL Strategies celebrates our 5 year anniversary.  Host Eric Moraczewski leads guests on a journey of topics that are of deep importance to the guest and discusses how nonprofits and nonprofit leaders can benefit from the experience and expertise.
