Kari shares her parenting journey and why she wanted to repeat her childhood experiences with her children. Kari had an abusive childhood that left her with emotional scars. She wanted better for her children and better for the family she was going to raise with her husband. When she was pregnant in her 20s, her plans quickly changed and she became consumed by fear. This was a fear of not being prepared and a fear of potentially repeating the mistakes her parents made.
