Their Last Full Measure

On this Memorial Day, we remember those who laid down their lives—not out of hate, but out of love for those behind them. Jesus said, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends,” and we honor that sacrificial love today. True love, as Christ demonstrated, is vulnerable, costly, and deeply connected to the heart of God. As followers of Jesus, we’re called to love with the same courage and commitment. May we live with gratitude for the freedoms we’ve been given—and the love that made them possible.
