Lake Knox is a deep-water lake in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, and is the habitat of an endangered species. The community is trying to stop development plans for the lake site, and in this episode you'll learn what they are trying, why it's important, and hopefully learn some lessons about how you can take action yourself in your own area. Darren was Knox City's citizen of the year in 2018, and is the founder of local environmental group Greening Knox. Anthony is a friend of Climactic, and is involved with First Friends of Dandenong Creek. Bruna is a new member of the community, having recently moved to area, and is getting involved to protect and preserve the local environment.
