THEN THE LORD SAW THAT THE WICKEDNESS OF MAN WAS GREAT IN THE EARTH | 06.01.25

Yesterday we called out the OVERT increase of IRRATIONAL JEW HATE spreading through our culture. This is one of the signs of the last days. As Christians who KNOW the Bible, and the SURE PROPHECIES concerning God’s People, we MUST stand against the UNCHECKED virulent lies and hate—no matter WHO they are coming from. We are the REMNANT Church, called to RESTRAIN the wickedness of this generation through the wisdom of the WORD and the boldness of the Holy Spirit.    Am Israel Chai! עם ישראל חי   YESHUA HAMASHIACH יֵשׁוּעַ המשׁיה   We are going to pick up where we left off yesterday, in Genesis chapter 6, where just about 1,500 years after Creation, the world has become so corrupt, God must INTERRUPT and OVERTHROW the conditions that have lead to the LAWLESS VIOLENCE. We determined from the account in Gen chapters 4 through the beginning of chapter 6, that there were at least 2 factors that brought on this OUT OF CONTROL downward SPIRAL of CORRUPTION, that God would resolve with the FLOOD: Extremely LONG Natural LIFE of all humans and animals, unless killed NO JUSTICE SYSTEM to keep wickedness in check One additional factor that the Flood would mitigate is: No natural Boundaries between families These would be solved after the flood, as we will see, by God imposing: A 120 year age limit on the average human life span, as well as animals, through the drastic change in the earth’s topography & climate. Instituting a justice system requiring humans to kill anyone who murders someone, as we noted last time, according to Num: o             Num 35:33 '… You shall not pollute the land where you are; for blood defiles the land, and NO ATONEMENT can be made for the land, for the blood that is shed on it, EXCEPT BY THE BLOOD OF HIM WHO SHED IT. Setting up New Geographic boundaries: at the end of the Flood, the once united land mass has been split up and separated by rapid plate tectonic activity, evidenced in the same lower sedimentary flood layers on the shared on the divided continents, in addition to rapid mountain uplift. Of course, corruption, rebellion, sin, and death will continue to be the CURSE on the earth until Jesus finally “makes all things new,” in the regeneration. So some of the PRE-FLOOD conditions that caused the corruption will not be fully eliminated by the Flood: Satan’s corrupting influence The Threat that INTERMARRIAGE with those in rebellion against God will develop again. Killing on the earth o             In fact, God will actually sanction killing animals for food, and predators will also resume killing prey. o             One main reason for this appears to be the change in nutrients available after the flood, from the once lush world of Creation, to the more barren POST-FLOOD world of slow recovery that would naturally not favor some vegetation species, in addition to the dramatic climate of the proceeding Ice Age  We discussed previously how God announced in Genesis ch 1 that all herbs, grains, and fruit were given for both humans and animals to eat, and there never was supposed to be any killing.   Here, it is clear that the “sons of God” intermarried with the sons of “men,” and that these were “mighty men who were of old, men of renown.” The order of these verses does not clearly say that the giants WERE those men of renown, though they could have been. These men may have been particularly violent, or powerful leaders, as Nimrod (after the flood) was described as “the mighty hunter,” and he was a charismatic leader. Several others in the Bible have been called “renown” which is just an interpretation of the Hebrew word “shem” or name, suggesting that they made a name for themselves in some capacity.   Now many Evangelicals believe this mysterious passage here in verses 2 and 4 is describing a wicked event in which FALLEN ANGELS come and have sex with humans and create hybrid beings, half angel, half human, called Nephilim, and that THIS is why God must judge the earth.   I respect many of the pastors, teachers, and theologians who hold this view, and other than this interpretation, I generally agree with them.   But I believe that this passage is NOT about fallen angels having sex with humans, which it does not clearly describe.
