Prof. em. Dr. Theo Wehner studierte Psychologie und Soziologie. Er ist ein deutscher Psychologe und Arbeitswissenschaftler. Ab 1989 war Wehner Professor für Arbeitswissenschaft an der Technischen Universität Hamburg und von 1997 bis 2014 Professor für Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie an der ETH Zürich. Einer der Schwerpunkte ist die psychologische Fehler- und Sicherheitsforschung. Seit mehreren Jahren ist er auch als Kurator von Themenausstellungen tätig; u.a. über das Scheitern und den Schlaf.
