Theory of Change vs Logic Model

In this podcast episode, the host, Dr Faiz, discusses the Theory of Change (ToC) and the Logic Model, two methods that social entrepreneurs use to operate their businesses. The ToC is categorised as outcome-oriented, while the Logic Model is categorised as process-oriented. The ToC is a method applied for program planning that focuses on achieving desired preconditions and the interventions needed to achieve social missions. The ToC method can be developed independently or integrated with stakeholders during the early development phase to improve program development. On the other hand, the Logic Model is defined as a systematic and visual way to present and share the understanding of the relationships among the resources used to operate a program, the activities planned, and the changes or results expected to achieve. It is a graphical representation of how a program functions theoretically under specific conditions to achieve desired targets.
