Therapeutic Thursdays (C.E.): I Am Not Comfortable With That! Treatment of Pain in Palliative Care

Opioid analgesic therapy is a common treatment for severe pain in the palliative care population.  As the population ages, more patients with a history of opioid misuse are experiencing chronic, severe, difficult to treat pain, often related to cancer.  This session will review various pain therapies for severe pain in the palliative care population and outline strategies for pain management in patients with comorbid use disorders.  The information presented during the podcast reflects solely the opinions of the presenter.
