There are growing calls for South Africa to tighten restriction amid rising Covid-19 infections. This past weekend the country recorded the highest number of new Covid-19 cases since February - surpassing the four-thousand mark. Gauteng is already in the midst of a third wave with the province's economic hub - Johannesburg - leading in terms of new infections.
