We’re back on the albums again! Part TWENTY NINE 20-11. - THERE IS ONLY ONE EPISODE OF THIS PROJECT LEFT AFTER TODAY. oh my word - This week features Fleetwood Mac, Public Enemy, Joni Mitchell, and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;) - Barely squeezed in the albums! Def not enough time for Poetry Time. But you already knew that. Here’s the written version for you: ____________________________________________________ Poem of the One World This morning the beautiful white heron was floating along above the water and then into the sky of this the one world we all belong to where everything sooner or later is a part of everything else which thought made me feel for a little while quite beautiful myself. -by Mary Oliver ____________________________________________________ To honor the top 100 albums (and my favorite poet), the poems for the rest of this series will all be coming from Mary Oliver :) - ONLY 10 ALBUMS TO GO!!! My mind is blown. (I’m *really really really really* going to miss this project once we’re through.) Onward and upward we continue. - Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright. I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year! Yeah, I’m not joking. Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to. And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews. Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process) - If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024. - Enjoy it while it lasts!
