Perhaps one of the biggest deceptions ever foisted on the American people emanates not from a Barnum sideshow or Ripley’s Believe It Or Not exhibit, but one that emanates from the halls of government and at every level. Regardless of whether it is at the local, county, state, or federal level, the charlatans of politics have convinced the American people that politics is government.It is not. Politics is the “art” of getting elected. Government is the execution of serving the people.
