There’s NEVER a Tie at a RR Crossing! – Sept. 18, 2022

from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison

Operation Lifesaver Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s. So what in the world is the Operation Lifesaver logo doing on a vintage music radio show? Well, September is National Rail Safety Month. In the second segment of this week’s edition of the show you’ll find out about Operation Lifesaver and hear three rapidly rotating railroad related records.  We’ll also celebrate Fred Godfrey’s birthday and although it’s not his birthday, hear a couple of sides by Joe Smith. Not that one, the other one. We’ll also hear some more hypocorisms and the Hoosier Hot Shots will start things off with their first ever segment.   There’s lots of great music and interesting information, so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and be magically transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era.    Just click the audio player above to listen streaming online and/or download the show for listening at your convenience.
