In August last year a devastating wildfire fanned by hurricane-force winds razed the township of Lahaina, Maui – the ancient capital of the Hawaiian Islands. It killed 99 people and destroyed 2700 homes and businesses in the hugely popular waterfront tourist destination. While many are still grieving their loss, Hawaii wants us to return to Maui.
