Derek often gets asked how people can be sure that they are marrying the right person or if they are getting into business with the right person and it all comes down to a lesson he learned when he was trying to be a rockstar (yes, he thougth he'd be a rockstar)...believe people when they show you who they are. How often do we feel like someone blindsided us with cheating or they caught us off guard with their actions? The reality is, they probably already showed you who they were but you didn't want to believe them. From politicians to potential spouses, the clues are ALWAYS there...we just have to be willing to believe them.
