In his 20's, Kevin took a job unexpectedly and stuck with it for a while. He made great money, had a car and beautiful girlfriend, but he realized he still wasn't happy on the inside. This is a story of a single mom, her son and a supportive and loving grandmother. Kevin Palmieri has two significant female role models in his life. On this episode of SHLTMM, Kevin so graciously shares stories of his mother, Beth and maternal grandmother, who he calls, Meema. Each woman played a unique role in my guest's life. As a single mom, Beth juggled a lot. She is a Certified Nurse's Assistant and works the night shift, while her mother was around before and after school to be there for Kevin. Meema was Kevin's confidante and some-what of a father figure. Both women gave Kevin the ability to learn from choices he had made. In his early 20's Kevin worked a number of odd jobs. He wasn't particularly happy but it was work. He was lost and didn't see a future. His mom encouraged him to try opportunities that came his way, even if they didn't work out as planned. He says that ability to choose what he did or didn't do, allowed him to become more independent at a young age.
