Think like a millionaire?

from Who in hell taught you that? Hosted by Marcus V. Brown Sr.

The Bible and Jesus never taught that thoughts alone can shape reality. The widely accepted idea of "as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he" is seen as a misinterpretation influenced by a 1903 self-help book. When I examine the original biblical context in Proverbs 23:1-8, it cautions against blindly accepting generosity and emphasizes that true nature is reflected in one's thoughts. Contrary to popular belief, the scripture doesn't endorse the notion that thinking like a millionaire will make me one. Taking scripture out of context is likened to telling a partial story, leading to misunderstandings. I'm reminded of instances where people believe in abilities that don't align with reality, such as thinking they are great cooks or singers. I'm urged to critically evaluate teachings and question the source: "If it didn't come from God, the Bible, or Heaven, who taught you that?"
