Think Your Way Through (Part 3)!

from Emmanuel Afiawari's Inspiration podcast · host Emmanuel Afiawari

Sometimes, we try to be smart with our thinking only to find out we're just being clever by half. In the long haul, we're disappointed, disoriented and maybe depressed. If the things we think about doesn't bear any semblance of truth, chances are we're headed in the wrong path. Once you're consumed by dishonest thoughts, paramount on your priorities would be to cheat or you're just about to cheated. Can you subject your thoughts to public scrutiny to ascertain its purity status? Ponder on these for a moment. You can differentiate good from bad, and no matter the promises or rewards it holds, a negative thought would prick your heart, for anyone still having a living conscience. The things Bible recommends us to think about are those that offer good report, and inspire virtue. Yes! God is still looking for virtuous people and your can be one. To be virtuous is to live by godly standards, while having compelling attributes that model Christ, uprightness and excellent moral character. The things you think about, are they praise worthy? Can you be proud of same publicly or you'd cringe at the thought that you're about to be exposed? Were your thoughts x-rayed this minute, are we likely to find praiseworthy elements or they would be shamefully disturbing? Jeremiah says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jer. 17: 9)." Before you rejoice that no man can tell the content of your heart, God knows, and this is even damning if you're not living up to Paul's prescription of what to think about.
