Pre-Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon select individuals for a limited time and specific purpose (usually associated with leadership of Israel). Post-Pentecost, the Holy Spirit now lives and dwells within every believer permanently and for the purposes of regeneration, marking/sealing, transforming into Christ-likeness (holiness) and power for service.
