The Phillies won a solid game in LA last night 6-2. The win clinched the season series against the Dodgers which could have major implications come October. The Council Rock/Newtown Little League team is one win away from Williamsport and Jo with a great performance against Brazil. The Question of the Day is "Are we too emotional when it comes to our Philly Sports teams?" Today's Philly Olympic Spotlight is Maia Weintraub fencing from Philly. On this day in 2001 the Phillies beat the Padres 7-3. Scott Rolen, Pat Burrell and Bobby Abreu all homered. Abreu's was the Phillies 10,000th homer in team history.
