Ron Hextall became the first goailie in NHL history to take a shot on goal and score. He would do it again 2 years later in the Playoffs. Also on this day in 2013 the Snow Bowl occured. The Eagles beat the Lions as an unexpected 7-8 inches of snow fell in South Philly. The Eagles won 34-20 as Lesean McCoy ran for 217 yards and 2 TDs.
