This Day in Philly Sports History - January 5, 2025

It's an Eagles Gameday Edition of the pod today. The Eagles take on the Giants in a glorified preseason game as one team looks to end their season while the other is looking ahead to the postseason. The Sixers had potentially their best game of the season so far beating the Nets 123-94. The Flyers are in action today in Toronto. Today's Question of the Day is "What's your prediction for the Eagles game today?" Today we are forgiving Von Hayes for not living up to the 5 for 1 trade the Phillies made. On this day in 1991 the Eagles lost to Washington 20-6 in the NFC Wild Card game at the Vet. They couldn't get it going offensively and Buddy Ryan benched Randall Cunningham for a couple of drives in 3rd Quarter. Buddy was fired 3 days later.
