This Day in Philly Sports History - January 7, 2025

It's Tuesday so that means it's time for a little motivation/positivity. The Sixers could've used some positivity against the Suns last night losing 109-99. The Flyers return home to take on the Maple Leafs. We discuss the playoff history between the Packers and Eagles. Today's Question of the Day is "Should we be concerned that Kellen Moore received an interview request from the Saints?" Today we are forgiving Rich Kotite for all of his transgressions while with the Eagles - and there are a lot. On this day in 1980 the Flyers lost to the North Stars 7-1, ending their 35 game unbeaten streak which still is a North American sports record. Also in this day in 1996 the Eagles lost to the Cowboys 30-11 in the Divisional Round. It was Randall Cunningham's last game as an Eagle. Cunningham played the last 3 quarters after Rodney Peete was hit in the head.
