This Day in Philly Sports History - September 12, 2023

The Phillies earned a split with the Braves but it very easily could've been a sweep. The injury bug has struck the Eagles but hopefully it's damage is minimal. On this day in 1958 The Phillies lost both games of a doubleheader to the Giants. In the second game Hank "Pistol" Mason pitched 5 innings, becoming the first black pitcher in Phillies history.
